Seems I am starting to travel again - albeit minor domestic travel.
Upcoming MEL-SYD on QF - presumably flexi-saver (what inventory is that?).
So am I better of crediting to QF or AA?
QF I am LT PS
AA I am MM GLD
so QF I get 1000 points?
AA I get 707 miles plus 25% bonus as GLD = so 884 miles?
Difference is negligible and specifically not sufficient to overcome the greater value of AA miles than QF points.
Status probably does not come into it for me - I will be making 9-12 such flights (some to BNE) a year which is not enough to earn status higher than my existing Lifetime status on either airline.
So I guess I am earning on AA? Am I missing anything?
