The connecting rule works both ways, so shorthaul connecting to long haul gives you lounge access before the shorthaul. So you have access on the return from BKK.Yes i was told this and hoping to use it if i can. I presume thats only after i have flown J class? AS in Syd - KUL J and then KUL - BKK Y and i use business lounge in both sydney and KUL.
What about on my return where my first leg is Y and then my long leg is J ? As in Bkk - KUL Y and then KUL - Mel J Class. Can i use the lounge in BKK as well? or only in KUL?

Interesting. No issue for meInteresting, i was told i shouldnt have done a webcheckin for my flights if i wanted to combine flights / check my luggage all the way through to the end
Interesting, i was told i shouldnt have done a webcheckin for my flights if i wanted to combine flights / check my luggage all the way through to the end. So she had to go through and uncheck me before being able to do that. Didnt realise that.
Yeah i went to the desk to get the bags done and she was like "why did you do a web checkin if you wanted to link the bags to go to your final destination. Next time dont do it" .I've done on-line check-in on separate tickets. But you need a check-in desk to intervene if you want your luggage to be through-checked.
It's not a big issue. But it takes them a little while.
