Air India B787 crash Ahmedabad

Probably not relevant, but I always found there was a big difference between the motion of Boeing and Airbus fuel control switches. The B was a more definite action, and very easy to operate, whereas the A seemed to be a less defined motion and so a little harder to complete. You had to think about, or be more serious, with the AB. Neither struck me as being something prone to accidental activation.

The BBC is reporting that Air India has just grounded a 787 after its pilot reported a fault in the aircraft’s fuel control switch.
The preliminary report into last years’ Ahmedabad crash noted that the engines were shut down when the fuel switches were moved from ‘run’ to the ‘cut out position’.

This is total nonsense cover-up by air india and india in general.
