Good question. Transactions post same as any other credit card, you can’t however view those on line.
One remedy might be to pay govt using zip and then pay zip using the card . Waiting to see if this works for hsbc .

Hours! However, they did manage to book J reward seats which, through the app, were error-ing out. (Hint-note the error code, they need that to waive the call centre booking surcharge)

Did you call during aeroplan operating hours? Was disappointing as the connection recognised my ph number as being a 50k status. Phoned at about 14:00 au EST. But delighted she got me the 3 x J out of IST on Turkish Airlines, thought they might have been ghost rewards seats.Oh.. then it sounds like something went wrong
I called just before Christmas when there was some massive snow storm and huge travel disruptions. My ticket needed to be reissued and the agent wouldn’t hang up before I received the email… she said ‘you’ve been waiting a long time and I don’t want you to have to call back’ and was very surprised when I told her I’d only been holding a couple minutes!!
The operating hours for Aeroplan are 6am to 8pm eastern time, canada (although I thought it was actually 7am!) Calling outside those hours can mean delays.
They're supposedly bookable on the app/web, selecting "points" when searching. Can't book a payment flight, just rewards flight (like booking a VA flight using AC points)
