Pets in the Cabin - Coming soon on Virgin Australia

Yes, but in terms of the rest of the network. Can’t be that hard… if MEL and two other airports have approved, what’s the hold-up with the others? It’s not like VA is a minor player, they're spending significant $$ at these airports for services.
Maybe the airport needs to have ‘pet relief’ points available near the gate lounges. To develop those would be a cost to the airport operator.

Should already be there, for dogs. Dunno about cats! lol. Can’t imagine one for them. The airport operator would just pass any costs on to VA, if that’s what VA was requesting.

There is less and less room on planes. How you will be able to fit your feet legs and pet in a bag under your standard seat is a mystery. Presuming your carry on (other than pet) goes in the overhead lockers !

At least it's a lot less complicated than it used to be. We used(long time ago) to have a cat and hauled it Perth Darwin regularly. Had to drop off and pick up at cargo. Very tricky unless U had someone at each end to help U pick up and drop of at a different location to the arrivals terminal.

Welcome to the world of being tall!! When I sit I. A regular economy seat I can’t stretch out my legs, so the knees and feet are pretty much at 90 degree angles with the floor, not using any foot space u der the seat in front.

So guess this is same same!

Assume pets pre-board… so there’ll be room for other bags in the overhead.

At Melbourne they have two set up. One in T1 and the other at T4, after security. There are already the guide dogs they have to cater for, who are allowed on flights
