Qantas RM Williams Business Amenity Kits

Definitely looks like a similar design.

And while it may well be contracted out and not made in the RMW boot factory, in sure the contract is very specific about materials and sourcing.
Similar to the Rimowa hard shell kits, which were excellent quality.

Was cheeky abroad my last MEL - SIN and brought up the new amenity kits. 5m later one of the crew came back with a smile and handed me one - don't feel like you can't ask guys! - the Kit itself is much nicer, although I wish it had a few more "lotions and potions" inside. Maybe they can try to do a Leif partnership next... Aesop wouldn't like that I imagine.

I guess my point is that there are amenity kit manufacturers out there who contract for airlines who make these bags for the lowest possible cost with extremely simple to make designs that are usually from a kind of catalogue. The brand name applied in these instances has almost nothing to do with the product created. There is a distinct difference between this and a product sold and marketed by a brand in their stores.

The same usually goes for the products in amenity kits. The diptyque products used by Qatar for instance are not made by diptyque in France like their other products, but instead made in Malaysia by a manufacturer that makes a bulk of different amenity kit products for other airlines. Formula is almost the same, different fragrance added. It is all trash at the end of the day, with the allusion of a luxury brand.
I went looking for the diptyque fragrance that is in the Qatar kits as I rather like it, and it didn’t seem to be available for retail (unless I’m missing something, which I may be)

OT a little, but the 2 possible fragrances are 34 Boulevard Saint Germain (given as EDT; available in EDP and other formats) and Eau Rose (also given as EDT; available in multiple formats).

Did a bit of a search and came across this image, which suggests multiple designs.

Just came up in my LinkedIn feed;
Feeling Proud: Our New Partnership with R.M. Williams for Qantas Business Class ✈️

Following the success of our Aesop First Class amenity kit, we’ve uplifted our Business Class amenity kit with another incredible partnership, this time with heritage Australian retailer R.M. Williams.

This partnership brings together two iconic Australian brands, Qantas and R.M.Williams, both born in the outback and deeply connected to the land. Where Qantas flew over the dust, R.M. Williams rode through it. Together we’ve created a kit that celebrates heritage, quality, and the spirit of travel.

Collectibility is important to our Business Class customers, so we’ve designed four unique kits inspired by Australia’s warm, earthy tones, each featuring a map of Winton-to-Longreach trail, a nod to shared legacy. The kit features a frogmouth opening, making it easy to see and access the skincare essentials from GROWN ALCHEMIST, RPET socks, comfortable eye mask, 3M earplugs, and a toothbrush with RPET cap. Every detail thoughtfully curated to deliver comfort and tell a story that feels truely Australian.

I’m incredibly proud of this project and grateful for the opportunity to work with R.M. Williams, a brand I have always admired. A huge thank you to their talented team particularly Rachel Allen, Amy Barnes, Karl Candido (Design) and Victoria Taylor, Hannah Russell, April Davies (Brand & Marketing).

As always, I am grateful to work with my immediate team Emma Warburton and Stephanie Pemberton. A special thank you to Amy Robson, Piper Eddington (Marketing), Brent Winstone, Jan Chen (Creative), and Stephanie Maguire, Madison Davy (Communications).

This kit has already started to enter the network, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. A proud moment for everyone involved, and I can’t wait for more customers to experience it.

Little disappointed to see the new amenity kit from Qantas. They spend a lot of money on the various lotions and potions but where is the joke book? How can you give out an amenity kit in honour of the late comedian Robin M. Williams and then forget such an obvious thing?
