Just noticed that I have earnt points on my QFF account from my last 3 Woolworths transactions all under $30.

I earned 6, 14 and 14 points in single transactions which seems to fly in the face of the 'spend $30 in one transaction' that is presently marketed.

A ploy to sucker in the newbies? (Like me :)) Or a genuine mistake??

Interesting! I've only ever received the expected points for the amounts over the $30, including a posting of 1 point after a $31 spend.

Mine were all BWS (!) perhaps that's where the difference lies?

I noticed Self Serve always asks for the EDR card even if purchase was under $30 .....

I always swipe it, but don't have login details to check if I got any lately. 2009 I did not get any points for anything under $30, I know that for sure.

I never bother scanning it for that reason - didn't seem to be any benefit.

Benefit them ;) marketing research? :!::?: I still scan it, as sometimes there are promotions? When they first had it, you could scan it to be in the draw to win a WOW card etc. Haven't seen any for ages though. I just scan to shut the machine up from "Please scan your every day rewards card" .... I do it at the Please and it stops heheheheh :D

I never bothered handing the card over for purchases of less than $30 but I guess now I will justin case!

My last transaction has not posted yet, but purchases made in early Jan were still only “over $30”. Luckily last transaction was at BWS so will be able to confirm soon hopefully.

Haven't seen that yet, I bought something under $30 and they asked for my card and I said "why bother?"

Used it in BWS this week, why oh why is it no good in Dan Murphys which is also owned by Woolworths? I think they had a week of it?
Also DSE for one week only. What's going on?

Dan Murphys promotion was only on wine purchases from the 30/11/09 to 24/12/09.
DSE and Tandy are on going and you earn 1 point per dollar for every dollar after $50.

I use mine every time, 8 out of 10 under $30 spends have been coming in. Strange, but seems to work on my card.
Also, some how l also got 200 points added from a Woolies transaction when l know for a fact l did not spend that sort of money on that particular transaction on that day, it was a under $30 total purchase in SYD. But then again, whats 200 points really going to get you? A lolly pop??? LOL.

You might have unwittingly participated in a promotion for something.

AFAIK that's how it's supposed to work. Min $30 spend to earn QFF points (well, $31 actually).

But I presume EDR points are earned for all spends, so I offer my card for swiping (I do lots of 'little' shops rather than a few 'big' ones) every time, regardless whether its over $30 or not.

I have a bunch of txns on my QFF account for miles ranging from 1 to ~15.

I get the points for small spends, just no fuel saver docket for a under $30 spend. Doesn't bother me as l don't own a car. (Never owned one actually, and l have a HR Licence, lol)

I almost never spend over $30, so did not bother to get the card.

Are you sure you spent under $30? If you spend $36, you should get 6 pts, if you spend $44, you should get 14 pts, and so on.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I've done a few <$30 transactions lately, and tried logging in to check, but the EDR Website is showing an error due to "experiencing high volume of customers." On a Sunday afternoon?

On DSE - yes I spent some $$ there yesterday and they asked for my EDR card. Every dollar over $50 as stated above. Going to spend another $600 there today on a spare laptop so a few more points. It's all rather trivial really but I guess it adds up eventually.

We'd pull 1000 points a month through Woolworths though so in 16 months we've got one SYD-MEL return. Whoa!

Purchased a new laptop, some bits and bobs and a TV in the same transaction at DSE just before Christmas; With CC spend and EDR, I gleaned ~2,600 points in total ...

Purchased a new laptop, ..

I just bought my daughter a new laptop for Uni.

With DSE awarding FF points I had a look there, but I could get a better specced (ie Cor2Duo, rather than Core Duo, 4GB RAM, rather than 2,1MB more cache, etc) Toshiba for a much cheaper price at MLN.

So I went sans-points
