How was the PYCM?
Has anyone here drunk the 2004 Penfolds Bin 60A? I have a bottle in my wine fridge and am wondering what I can expect and whether I should hold for a special occasion or get on with it... Penfolds suggest drinking 2012-2040 but I would think 21yrs in the bottle might be enough(?)
Thanks @Daver6 - I hadn't seen those. Sounds like I could hold a little longer, maybe until my son's palate develops to include red wine (he was born 2004 and I bought it intending for his 21st, but held off opening it as he just wouldn't enjoy it)Maybe use these notes as a guide to make a decision https://www.cellartracker.com/notes.asp?iWine=168935
Not in my cellar but fwiw Huon Hooke reviewed the wine last year and gave it a 98. Summary: A truly magnificent red wine with decades left in it.Maybe use these notes as a guide to make a decision https://www.cellartracker.com/notes.asp?iWine=168935

Yes, sounds like there's a bit of life in it yet...have a milestone birthday in 15mths or (maybe) retirement in 2-3 yrsThere would no rush to drink it at 21 years of age IMHO.
