Have it on decent authority that the first B789 will go in for WiFi fitting this month (either ZNG or ZNJ) and the whole B789 fleet will be kitted out by July 2026. Saw a map of all possible flight routes between AU-US and only the QF3/4 and QF21/22 should have extended periods of dropout - all the rest have pretty much continuous coverage.
The A380s are going to take considerably longer by all accounts.

No the 330s aren't done. I'd guess it's probably trying to just squeeze them in when there's "slack" in the schedule or if they need some maintenance as the 330s and 787s basically run completly different routes and use different maintenance bases as well.So does that mean that all the A330s will have completed their wifi installs in order for the 789s to proceed with installation or are the 789 wifi installs occurring concurrently? There are 14 789s so they're going to get about ~ 1.5 fitted per month. Are they being done at a different facility from the A330s? I have no idea where the installs are occurring but going to guess Sydney??
Sounds like my source was on the money then…Have it on decent authority that the first B789 will go in for WiFi fitting this month (either ZNG or ZNJ) and the whole B789 fleet will be kitted out by July 2026. To be honest, I would prefer more reliable flights on the A330 fleet first, then the enabling of the wifi serviceComing to you from VH-QPH just over one hour into HKG-SYD and due west of Manila.
They haven't announced the plane is wifi enabled, so the experience is excellent!

They're completely different things and it's not like they're mutually exclusive as well. The wifi (besides the installation of the dome) is mostly out of QF's control as its mostly on viasat. To be honest, I would prefer more reliable flights on the A330 fleet first, then the enabling of the wifi service
Coming to you from VH-QPH
Think that's it, with QPJ now at 2 months in the BNE hangar for a major check.far, it seems to be only VH-QPH and VH-QPI.
First launch window now scheduled.ViaSat3 F2 now confirmed as next launch for ULA with rocket being prepared, no date yet.

Yes, the connection restores once over the island of Luzon again (probably just prior)Anyone knows if QF still loses connection on the SYD-MNL flight outside of Australia until like an hour prior to Manila? Happened last time in May.
This was my experience last month. Given our HKG flight pretty much went past MNL, I'd imagine similar results. Also note that there is still small chance of running into a non wifi configured 332. I did twice in a row.Anyone knows if QF still loses connection on the SYD-MNL flight outside of Australia until like an hour prior to Manila? Happened last time in May.
Also BNE-MNL as well as a data point?
Both on the 29th should be running on A332s so I just wanna make sure for friends that everything is running smoothly.
