How long do BA, Finnair and Other oneworld flights take to credit to Qantas?

Must be getting much better. Flew Cathay Melbourne to New York on Sunday and points were in my account by Tuesday.
Cathay always credits Tuesday evening to QFF. Not sure about Tuesday flights, but definitely for everything from Wednesday to the day before. I've found it very reliable, don't think I've ever had to put in a claim, for dozens of flights in the last few years at least.

I find Finnair flights will often randomly not credit, and chasing it up can require a boarding pass after multiple claims of it being a non-earning booking class.

I’ll see how that tracks - I’ve had 4 already and 4 more CX flights coming this year. So far so good and generally for years they’ve been fine but as mentioned upthread, I did have some sectors “no show” two years ago, and they were needed to retain QF WP! Fortunately sorted quickly.

Yup, on my end:

  • American Airlines: same day
  • Alaska Airlines: 3-7 business days
  • Cathay Pacific: every Tuesday

CX batches up everything for a week and sends them off to QF on Tuesday afternoon/evening.
Departures on Tues morning before the time the batch is run thus post that day, departures in the afternoon after they run the batch will take a week.

Took 3 AY flights a week ago but none have posted yet. Booked direct on Finnair website. Time to put in a claim?

Probably give it a few more days first.

Looking at my statement, my AY flights over the past year have taken the following amounts of time to credit to QFF:

  • 5 days
  • 5 days
  • 4 days
  • 5 days
  • 5 days
  • 5 days
  • 6 days
  • 5 days

  • 5 days
  • 19 days
  • 6 days
None of those flights required manual follow-up.

My last AY flights were in late Jan. AMS-HEL-CPH 26JAN. Posted 31JAN.

The only time I've had issues getting an AY flight posted was in 2012 or 13 when I had a flight operated by Flybe Nordic (now Nordic Regional Airlines) on (as I recall) HEL-OSL. Qantas tried to claim it wasn't a oneworld flight, when it was no different to any of the Alliance Airlines flights for QantasLink or Republic or Skywest flights for American Eagle (the flight had been sold on a DONE3 ticket, which only allows oneworld flights).
