Amex aren't NDC-enabled for QF which is why there's a number of domestic (and tasman) fares where Amex is more expensive than the QF website. In fact none of the major corporate travel agents here in AU are enabled for NDC for QF.

The main fare with a huge fare difference is the I class NDC-only fares that QF offers on domestic. There is only the NDC fare in I class, so for non-NDC, you get the D class fare which is double the price.

Supposedly cheaper fares when booking further out/non peak periods, undoubtedly more expensive close in and high demand periods. They wouldn't introduce it if it wasn't meaning additional revenue...

It's a new distribution channel that will basically eventually replace the traditional GDS. It has a long way to go before it gets to that point though.

If you don't get the TC back, contact AMEX with cancellation email and it should be handled quite quickly.

If they double down for some inexplicable reason, an AFCA complaint should handle the issue (albeit it takes some time).

Apologies if this has already been covered up thread, couldn’t find the answer, and the AMEX t+c’smdont cover this scenario either.

I had a travel credit expired mid feb, Booked hotel for later this month.

If I want to change hotels, do i lose the credit, or does it ‘keep’ and transfer as part payment?

The TCs talk about cancelling a booking outright, and then you lose the credit. But I wonder if i can change (to a completely different hotel). (I suspect the answer is ‘no’.)

Is a no show for a flight treated the same as a cancellation? I have booked return flights to Melbourne for the Boxing Day test assuming I can get tickets. If not I probably have no use for the credit so would prefer to let it lapse rather than have it debited to my card and have to repay the $450

Would it be reasonable to say that the NDC system is more controlled by airlines and more amenable to airline .manipulation’ than the GDS?

I know my travel agent at the moment absolutely loathes it.

It's because NDC is not ready for prime time by a long shot. The functionality that should exist, is basically non existent.

NDC bookings pay the same commission as GDS/edifact bookings.

Trying to use my Ultimate QF credit between MEL/SYD and I only get one flight and time option, each way. Am I doing something wrong?

I've tried clearing the appropriate filters and logging out and in again. Apologies if this has been asked and answered, I skimmed all pages of this thread and the several other Amex travel credit threads, saw a similar issue but couldn't find a resolution. I know prices are often/always higher than on the QF website but this isn't a price issue, it's a flights/times issue.

I've just gone in and now I can see a lot more options!! It's like calling in a tradie and not being able to replicate the problem when they're there... I swear everything else was the same...

EDIT: Actually I lie, there was one change. Just now I selected one-way, and was able to get a lot more QF options. yesterday I did return and had only one. I've been able to reproduce this.

Is this an 'undocumented feature'? A one-way Y flight will be less than the credit, I doubt doing J will be worthwhile and it looks like I can't get the flights I want as a return?
