Paper towels enhanced from lounges?

Thought I’d detected a small stash of them at the WLG lounge today. Alas it was a Kleenex that disintegrated upon touch.

I was there on Tuesday, and in one of the men's cubicles was a Tork dispenser, with plenty of spares ready to go. I didn't look closely at the dispenser in the sink area, as my hands were already dry.

Confirming that “recycling concerns” still haven’t reached the MEL Dom J lounge shower suites.
Next time they are refurbished though if they add a hand dryer to each of the shower suites I expect the paper towel will sadly disappear. That could lead to increase use of bath towels.

Experienced this in Sydney J Dom on the weekend. On the basis of being non recyclable according to the sign? It's absolute nonsense. I hate the air blowers. And paper towels can be mulched. Cost cutting only. I'll put up a sticker next visit and just have Bollocks on it. I thought that C thing brought back the use of paper towels to reduce viral spread. But such Illnesses are still rampant whether we like it or not.

OK, from the over 225 posts in this thread it is seems that generally Paper towels:
  • have been removed from Qantas club and Domestic Business lounge toilets.
  • Never were available at the new Adelaide lounge toilets and showers.
  • remain in other domestic lounge showers.
  • have not been removed from international lounge facilities.

Caveat to international lounges, this morning in SYD J lounge, there are paper towels but much more flimsy than the ones we were all used to. They feel almost like wet wipes that aren't wet :-/
