ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

6am still A+ Gold
8.30am Congratulations Platinum
What sort of things does one get as their Membership gift - Well-being or Culture?
The categories are a bit odd, but for platinum:

Entertainment : 6 months pressreader or print some photos
Culture: one year of Wall St Journal

+ donate to some charities

In the last half mine has been updated to show 2 Stay Plus nights. No otger noticeable changes but we had already retained Diamond a while back so expiry date already was 31/12/2026

Probably the system glitched - I selected one gift yesterday and got to pick another one today.

I renewed Accor+ a couple of months ago and got the usual 20 bonus nights. Another 10 applied overnight taking me over 60
Plat till 31/12/26
ALL Accor Explorer until 21/10/26
2 SNUs to be used by 31/12/26
Reward points to be used by 30/9/26
EDIT: Membership gift to be used by 31/12/25
These all make sense to me.

They've announced that status for Accor Plus will no longer be extended to match the membership anniversary date and will now follow the standard calendar year. Interestingly, instead of shortening everyone's status to 31 Dec 2025, it has been extended to 31 Dec 2026.

Status expiry and the benefits goes by calendar year.

This is most likely the 2025 calendar year gift and you'll receive another one for the 2026 calendar year.

Accor plus expiry goes by registration date.
ALL Accor Explorer until 21/10/26

Also the popup noted that accor plus nights won't be usable until 10am 1 Oct today so it's expected it wont be usable right now. (though I don't think it specified which timezone.)

The gift yesterday could be for the 2025 calendar year and the gift today for the 2026 calendar year, since everyone's status got extended.

Same.
It looks like anyone with a membership anniversary of Jan to September gets to keep their status until Dec 2026.
I'd be surprised if they don't assess elite tier qualification after Dec 31 for 2025 based on the new T&Cs, regardless of what is displayed right now. Screen shots of the end date as of today might help with a complaint, but unless you have attained or retained Platinum in 2025 by some means (other than A+), then there's still a risk that an account will be adjusted in January 2026

p.s. mine is a little odd, showing Platinum to 31 Dec 2025, even though I've re-qualified on status points (spend) in July, and am now close to Diamond. 1 stayplus is converted to 2, and I the 4 SNUs I had available have carried over in the upgraded app

Lots of people signed up on the old Accor plus T&Cs. If they shorten everyones status expiry now, so late in the year, it'll cause huge legal headaches especially when Accor plus is offered in so many jurisdictions.

Extending them to the end of 2026 seems like a good middle ground.. It's a one-off and after that, everyone has to requalify each calendar year.

I had an Accor Plus membership anniversary/expiry of September 2025. As such this expired last night and am now showing as Platinum until 31Dec25.

My plan is to renew this month via QBR (promo includes 10K QFF and 3K Accor - the 14 months is no more).

Interesting one... I got the bonus +10 status nights too (signed up for Accor+ back in July). I’d already hit Platinum, and normally the counter stops at 60 nights, but this time it kept going and ticked over to 70 for the first time.

Maybe they’re secretly testing a new tier? Diamond+? Ultra Platinum? 😄

I get that lots could be irritated by it, but it's not exactly an illegal action by Accor to alter the terms and benefits associated with their subscriber discount program. They gave the required notice of changes to terms, and I note the ALL Plus Explorer FAQs (currently offline as they update the site) have already flagged that 2026 status tiers will be determined based on 2025 qualification.

What I do agree with is that it would cause headaches for them (their support staff at least!) to mess with everyone, and so they may well leave status end dates 'as is' for those whose status was not retained in 2025, but whose membership was set-up or renewed between Jan and Sep 2025, extending status into 2026. We won't really know until January. Get your popcorn ready, I guess!

The availability of night to redeem also seems to be still limited, though there will be more availability as they mentioned

I cancelled my existing booking, and now I see only 1 status night displayed on my profile. I have another account that had a status the night before the update, and it now shows 2 nights. However, the cancelled booking only shows 1. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Yes, this.

Status reassessment on 1 Jan 2026 will be the real test. Regardless of whether you already have platinum now, we don't know how the system will implement the new system come 1 Jan. The only for sure way to guarantee platinum for yourself in 2026 is to have 30 actual nights in 2025, then you're safe.

In a world where every benefit 'enhancement' seems to take away rather than give anything to members, I am being positive. I'm getting the better part of a year extension to my Platinum benefits. Being only an occasional customer I'm happy to get any extension. l'm also of the view that they have made a decision to extend everyone's tier thru 31/12/26 to align to a standard member year. They would just invite legal action if they change anyone backwards at the end of this year.

Do you mean ‘Stay Plus’ nights?

If so, I think you needed to cancel before today for it to be converted to 2 x Stay Plus nights. Cancelling from now onwards you will only get 1 back I believe.

Well, yes, I did try with my 2 accounts, and the one that had 1 stay night before today, it's become 2 nights, while the one I used before and cancelled today, I only received back 1.

Wasn't sure.... I thought this was supposed to be an enhancement. Where they give everyone 2 nights, but you need to book 2-day stays with 1 free night + 1 paid night as the new condition?

I held off using my night and now I have two. Im looking to see whether there is value now in me cancelling a cash booking and rebooking to use these nights

Yes
This was communicated to everyone
So should it be 4 nights total (2 free + 2 cash) with this new "enhancement" cause they give an additional 1 night for everyone as a new program? Otherwise, it will just be instead of previously we could just book 1 free night, but now we're forced to pay for a 2nd night.
