I'm over (most) lounges

Which probably also tells you how long since the lounges were upgraded/modernised, compared to the commercial outlets in the terminal.
I'm still looking for my old mate Priority Baggage who maybe is still struggling to go round in circles, let alone get a good seat on board.

In my case it's any lounge will do! When you are an exclusive Y flyer, you can't look forward to the heady joys of J travel, so must do with what you can get in a lounge. Going to other carriers is not an option as the Y flyer will have to start at "0" again with no benefits whatsoever for some months, so the question of " Do I use the lounge or not?" can never be asked.

Except surely there are places where you’ve used the lounge before, so you know the general area of the terminal is a much nicer place to be? Like Hobart?

Never had a problem with Hobart!
I’ve most likely not been there near as frequently as you have … but last two times I was there while my better-half still had lounge access, the general terminal had heaps of seats where the QF lounge had none plus the general terminal had nice nibblies & drinks to buy where the QF lounge nibblies & drinks were dire plus the general terminal toilets had no queue & were cleaner. Apart from not needing to pay in order to get nibblies+drinks you just don’t want to partake in, there really was no positive to that lounge.
