I want to have a powered cooling tray for summer meals (for son's household they entertain a bit ) so that foods don't warm up in the summer. Not sure if I am trying to make up a new product lol , don't want bucket loads of ice

Today its people/companies that phone you and then demand you answer questions to verify identification before speaking to you

Eg, Telstra phoned me to confirm something Ive requested has been completed. They phone me, identify themselves and then say to confirm the person Im talking to can you please give me your [surname or email address etc]

Ummm.. no. You phoned me. I dont have to tell you anything because you phoned me, I didnt ask you to contact me. The caller was completely thrown so I told him to send me an email, which is how I booked the work to be done in the first place

Yes this is a bug bear of mine too. You called me on the authorized mobile for my account; the onus is on you to prove you are legitimately the telco/bank/insurer not for me.

This anti money laundering is out of control.

We send money to Thailand with Wise regularly and a few weeks ago we had a strange rejection where 3 weeks earlier it was successful. They say none on bank account does not match. Bank book is with with my wife here and you can't do anything in Thailand without ID. Suspect we may have been caught up in this mess of Thailand trying to fight gang call centre mules.

Now in Australia Unibet is asking me to upload a copy of debit card front and back with my signature on it. Serious right? Yes they are serious. I deposited $500 last week from my debit card and trying withdraw $475 to same debit card and its now been 3 days and still no funds.

The excuse is anti-money laundering laws which is total bollocks....

Well frankly, if there's any online service that's ripe for money laundering, it's gambling apps/sites. Wouldn't be at all surprised if they're being held to a higher standard.

FWIW I do not have any issues with Bet365, Sportsbet or TAB.

Yes! fortunately the CBA at least now does ID through their app i.e. they phoned me and then they send me a question through the app saying do you want to take this call or something like that.

I recently opened an AMP Go account and if you call them from the app then to verify you can quote a unique code from the app; and if they call you, you likewise ask them to send a code to the app and quote it to you.

WCMO is that yesterday BankWest sent me a letter saying they had cancelled (not suspended like Citibank used to do) my debit card because I hadnt used the card for over 12 months; yet my account is active with recent deposits and withdrawals. I've never had a bank cancel card if the account is still active (except where card expires).

As someone who does not use cash at all in Australia, and preferences credit cards everyday spend; I only really use debit card if travelling overseas.

WCMO tonight is AMP Go App giving me an error when trying to add an account.

Contact their help and they assume user error, they ask me to provide them screen shots proving the method they say to use isn't working in the android app (noting that app security prevents screen shots) so I have to borrow my partners phone to take photos of my phone, upload to computer edit into a single file, send to them and then delete the pics off my partner phones.

They acknowledge the receipt of the file and that app is up to date but insist I uninstall and reinstall (the whole turn it on and off again bs).

After uninstalling and reinstalling app it is not good enough to log in with account, the 2FA sms code and my password from the device used to sign up, no app makes you take a video which has to be manually validated by a person against the video when you first signed up.

God knows how many days I will be waiting for that to happen - already been waiting an hour to try and get back into my account. There is no website, only app. Seems ridiculous that logging in via account, password and 2FA is not enough, why a 4th factor of video is needed is beyond me.

Think when I finally get back in i will just be transferring fuds out of the TXN account and closing; way too much palava for simple banking.

Driving down a minor thoroughfare through the school zone but not school hours so no lights flashing. Two young mums walking across and so I waited. Both mums across the other side of the road and a toddler started following them and then just stopped in the middle of the road and couldn't be coaxed across so one mum goes and picks her up and then puts her down and says well done you crossed the road.

Cranky old lady refrained from yelling and saying maybe you should explain to toddler not to stand in the middle of the road. I understand you can't scream at them but a gentle explanation about the dangers would be good.

Another one next day when driving down Greenhill Road which is a major road in Adelaide and the lights went green but the cars in the lane to the right of me not moving. When I get to the front an older man is just walking across against the lights with a young boy.

People get your cough together. Imagine how guilty you would feel if you hit one of the pedestrians
