Has anyone had more than 1 in this most recent campaign?

Zero so far for me.
Flown 2 sectors in Y where there were empty J seats.

Also 0 from 2 for myself and SYD+1 (same flights, seperate bookings). J cabin full on both but not a lot to start with on E190s!

Remaining QF metal flights this year won’t have a higher cabin to move to…

I’m flying AKL to SYD and SYD to BKK on Wednesday…this would be awesome if it happened to me! Need to build my points back up after rinsing them recently!

welcome to AFF and sadly you don't get extra points if they upgrade you for free

There is another forum where members are posting upgrade successes but usually on points. Some are free op-ups. Worth a look!.

Ha yes, I might be new to AFF but I’m a frequent flyer so know that about the points. I was meaning that I haven’t put in a points upgrade request because I don’t have enough…need to fly more to collect some more!

I've had several op-ups and a few points upgrades. I would say points upgrade Y to J success was 50%. This was on PER-MEL or PER-SYD flights. On one occasion with a re-routing WLG- MEL-PER to WLG-SYD-PER, within 1 hour of departing WLG and 2 hour layover in SYD, I succeeded in an upgrade on points from SYD to PER. Recently , two op-ups in a week. It had happened once before.

I’m assuming the event occurred 4 months ago… Notified of a successful upgrade ahead of a flight, but then denied and returned to the booked cabin at check-in or departure.

Last week I completed in Y:
SYD > MEL - 1 available J seat when boarding (even received an app notification while at the gate to put request a last minute point upgrade)
MEL > SYD - forgot to take notice but J may have been full on the plane
SYD > SIN - Really empty flight (a330) plenty of seats available in Y and J (flight would have been no more than 65% full).
SIN > SYD - Pretty full flight in all classes

No comp op up for any trip.
