Received my first tranche of points (300k).
Now I need to get my ticket back from Europe to Australia in mid July 2026.
I currently have 110k SQ, 27k VA, 81k QF points, none of which are expiring soon.
Should I just fly to Istanbul or Dubai and then redeem a SQ flight back to Oz? Or go from Europe for more points? Or use QF points to get to PVG/ICN and a cash ticket home? Suggestions? Ideas?

Depending on where you’re based Syd to Doh heaps of seats. Using Velocity points.

Looks like NAB are closing applications after 14 September, so if you want a Prestige card, now's the time.

Isn't it just the current Prestige offer concludes on 14th September.

The card will continue taking applications post this date.
Sounds like something bigger is happening than that: 'Offer ends 14 September 2025. Credit card applications must be submitted on or before this date and approved by 30 September 2025.'

I'm planning on going for the prestige and coupling it with the current qantas 20k offer for first time qf cardholders - a small part of me wants to wait past September 14th though to see if there's a better SUB though.

I cannot see anything about this products being withdrawn from sale? When I do a CTRL + F on that page, all the 14 Sep references are on balance transfer and sign up bonus.

As a comparison, NAB / Citi is really withdrawing their Suncorp brand cards for sale, and they actually say "From 9 June 2025, you will no longer be able to apply for a Suncorp Bank Clear Options Credit Card.". I cannot see such statement on Citi web site?

I would've thought "Credit card applications must be submitted on or before this date [14 September 2025] and approved by 30 September 2025." was pretty clear.

At any rate, while you're welcome to wait after 14 September, I'll have one last crack at a Citi card before then.

Given that NAB only has a temporary licence to use the Citi branding, and their investor presentation indicated that they would complete the transition by the end of the year after migrating customers onto their new platform (and that migration is now in full swing with Coles, Qantas and Suncorp), I don't think you're going to see Citi cards past the end of the year.

This appear in the balance transfer promo and sign up bonus sections, as qualification requirements, nothing to do with withdrawing the product from sales.

I'm not eligible to wait, because I'm on free for life plan

NAB are going to be withdrawing Citi cards at some stage this year so that the transition can be wrapped up on schedule. Given that Ready Credit was withdrawn from sale last month (with similar wording about applications needing to be submitted by a certain date) leaving only credit cards on sale, it looks like it's now.

But you're welcome to wait until after 14 September to see what happens...

Just like how NAB Citi just pulled Suncorp brand cards, and they made an announcement to us cardholders via email, plus official announcement on web site clearly.

it looks like it's now.

It isn't. Those dates are end dates for the promotions. Don't spread fake news.

Were one promotion to end on that day, it'd fair to assume that Citi-branded cards would keep on their merry way.

When all promotions end on 14 September and the website states for each offer 'any credit card applications must be submitted on or before this date' and NAB has stated the transition will be completed by the end of the year and Coles, Qantas and Suncorp cards are being transitioned by NAB and all other Citi-branded products are no longer available for sale, then I'm not sure wishcasting the continued sale of Citi-branded cards beyond 14 September is a reasonable stance to take.

So you "assume", it's not a fact.

When all promotions end on 14 September

What do you mean by "all"? There is only one promotion for this card.

the website states for each offer 'any credit card applications must be submitted on or before this date'

And this sentence is specifically written within the subheadings on the web page "Balance transfer rate" + "Bonus Qantas Points" + "Balance Transfer offer". Not in the body of the page, not the top of the page, not any other subsections, just these two subsections.

Your statement is misrepresenting what NAB / Citi have put on their web site.

and NAB has stated the transition will be completed by the end of the year

And? Does that give you a date? Have you seen any specific date announced publicly by NAB?

then I'm not sure wishcasting the continued sale of Citi-branded cards beyond 14 September is a reasonable stance to take.

This is just your own guess. So NAB cannot pull this product on the 20 of Sep? 30 of Sep? How about 15 Oct? How about 30 Oct? What about 01 Nov? Or 30 Nov? You got insider information?

It's fine if you want to make a guess, but state that you are making a guess. The statement you made:
Looks like NAB are closing applications after 14 September, so if you want a Prestige card, now's the time.
is a misrepresentation of the announcement from NAB (which is what fake news means in year 2024)
