Buying Air Canada Aeroplan points

Has anyone run into purchased points not showing up instantly? Purchased 190,000 points last night (100,000 + 90,000) and still nothing showing in account.

Used a regular debit card and the charge is showing up as pending. Is this WAI and will just resolve itself , or does this generally indicate something wrong with the payment. TIA

Did you try signing out and signing back into your Aeroplan account?

Yep, mine never appear until I sign out and then back in again

Yeah, have tried signing out but no luck. I've only received the "your transaction is pending" email. Should I expect to receive a second email once the points come through?

May consider calling the bank to check if they've blocked the payment.

Closing the loop on this. Points ended up posting after ~36 hours.

FWIW, I emailed the Points.com support email and did get a response. Although I'm not sure if they manually processed anything or the points had just already posted by the time they saw the email.

Just thought I'd chime in here regarding the 30% discount Aeroplan is running on the purchase of points (expiring on July 3). I'd take a hard pass on that one. Per OMAAT Aeroplan bonus offers are frequent and 30% off represents the lowest offer they have. Indeed, around this time last year they were offering a 125% bonus on points purchased:

Don't forget that 30% off, is the equivalent of 42.9% bonus points.
Still a coughpy offer though
