New Amex statement credits

Every time one of these (infrequent) overseas offers comes through it just reminds everyone that the card is effectively useless outside of Australia because of the 3% foreign currency fee.
In this case it's really a credit of $31.45, after you subtract the fee.

Agreed, with the exception of the $200 international dining credit. I'm perfectly happy to spend $200 in a good restaurant, with a $6 foreign currency fee on top, and then get $200 back.

I'll also use it on hire cars overseas because the insurance is worth the 3% foreign currency fee.

Good point, I quite like that offer as well. Sort of the exception that proves the rule I guess.

That person could have been me because I would have used it in 2023 and 2024, but not going this year unfortunately

Personally I am hanging out for a Pet Circle offer. I am waiting to place an order and PC frequent Amex offers seem to have dried up.

The AVIS offer I used recently was X% multiple times up to a max $ rebate.

These appear to be unlimited?
