BNE-CNS 10:40 departure on Friday 23-May

Beef quesadilla. It was delicious. Other offer was a vegetarian tagine (I think) with optional chicken.

Only had apple juice - feeling jet lagged from Paris return overnight.

Alaric was excellent CSM. Even offered a drinks service before the meal. Had a copy of @serfty shower curtain photo - apparently it’s being shared among staff for those who haven’t seen it yet.

Spiced Chicken on VA 834 Sydney to Melbourne at 11am. Pretty decent but could have used a bit more of a kick and yogurt.

VA 875 6pm Melbourne to Sydney last night.

Southern Fried Chicken.

This wasn't good while the Chicken wasn't entirely dry, there was next to zero seasoning and an odd cheese sauce.

No better than a microwave meal.

VA236 ADL-MEL this evening, 25 minutes late departing.

The aircraft had flown SYD-ADL-ASP-ADL and was behind the 8 ball with the first ADL visit coinciding with a weather front passing through.

Cabin manager Cindy, proactively took pre departure drink, meal and dinner drink orders while boating was in progress.

Options were Beef Rending or Three cheese macaroni with chorizo.

I chose the rendang, we had about 20 minutes to eat it with seat belt sign on for longer than normal due to a bumpy first part of flight.

The plane was heading back to ADL.

It tasted fine if a little dry.

Choice of beef gnocchi and I think a rice quinoa salads with optional chicken.
Had the gnocchi and a G&T. A bit salty but decent.
Cabin supervisor terrific. Haven’t got her name yet. Edit: Shirley. Terrific.
Predeparture drink of water or sparkling wine.
As I am going to Sydney for the footy I chose the bubbles.
There was one glass left and CM poured it into my empty glass.
I must look like a booze head.

They have plenty of sweets/chocolate options… you just have to ask. Tim tams, Cadbury chocolate, white macadamia balls… I know it’s not Lindt, but it is available.

Yes the guy next to me didn’t want dinner and was offered cheese and crackers, chocolates etc.
He took her up on the offer and got some chips as well.

Syd-Per was lucky to try the new menu last night! This was the black pepper chicken that I found very tasty.

Included the usual cheese and crackers/cake (Sticky date cake)
The warm bread roll must be new?
Was offered a selection of snacks just prior to decent. I got Cadbury chocolate and chips.
