Qantas double status credits: Register & book between 12-18 March 2025

I recently applied for and started a Tier Accelerator challenge, with a requirement of 200 SCs from QF marketed flights in three months. The terms of the challenge excluded bonus status credits, but it looks like the SCs I earned through this DSC promo did count toward the challenge.

I've not yet hit 200 base SCs in that period, but was upgraded to Gold the day after I hit 200 including the DSCs.

Wish I had known that before booking to save one of the legs on my status run!

Keen to get the brain trust’s view on this. I used a flight credit this week that had double status attached. The double status from my first leg on Monday posted by Tuesday, but the flights from Thursday and Friday still haven’t posted — even though they usually do within 48 hours.

Because it was a multi-city itinerary, I had to book over the phone. Just wondering: is it worth following up now, or should I give it another week or two?

Just wait. If you got DSC for the first leg you should automatically get them for others, assuming they are eligible flights. They are Qantas metal & flight number?

Let the intern celebrate Mothers Day - I would wait until at least Thursday before punishing yourself by find a need to ring a Qantas call centre.

Thu on average posts Sunday and Fri on sun/mon. I took a lot of thu/fri golden triangle dsc's last year and that was the common pattern.

I've got a DSC-registered booking / status run coming up this week, routing MEL-SYD-AKL-BNE-MEL (270SCs x2 = 540SC) on a same day turn, but I've just been notified SYD-AKL (QF3) has been cancelled.

I've automatically been rebooked on MEL-SYD-MEL, which has the potential to save me 12 hours of travel. 😂

Question to the brains trust - should I fly what I've been rebooked onto and claim the ORC (original routing credit)? Have folks had success having DSC applied when claiming ORC?

If you have no burning desire to go to AKL, then I'd just be claiming ORC and DSC. It does work claiming both.

I just put it in the calculations and request. Eg:
"I was scheduled to fly <route> and earn . This was booked during the Double status credit window and thus earn <double sc> amount of SC. "

Yes - you got the jackpot outcome (unless you were looking forward to the F lounge or something else internationally related)!
