Lounge Access 3 Adults and 3 Children

In June we are travelling with our daughter and 3 grandchildren to Thailand. Both my wife and I are VA WP however our daughter and children are Red. Has anyone had success getting more than the allowance of guests into the lounges both in Sydney and Changi. I hear they are strict when it comes to enforcing this rule. The age of the children are 5, 4 and 3.

Being little kids they might allow it at Sydney if not too full, though no guarantees.
