QF (emirates codeshare) baggage allowance question

Hi,
Travelling to Europe soon on QF ticketed but emirates codeshare flights (plus a Qantaslink to start things off).
We are travelling with bikes, so the baggage limits are fairly critical.
I'm QF silver, wife only bronze.

A few items I was hoping to get confirmation on:

1. I was expecting only 23kg standard luggage allowance each but the Manage Booking says 30kg each. I guess that is accurate?

2. With my silver status, does the 42kg limit still hold? and if so, is there any chance of experiencing issues when checking in in Europe on the way home?

3. I read the Emirates rules and it seems bikes are OK as per Qantas rules. Anything to be wary of in that respect

4. We fly into BNE on a Qantaslink then to Dubai on the Emirates plane a few hours later. Will our luggage transfer across to the international, or will we have to carry it over and re-check it?

30kg the international allowance applies. It's 30kg weight based not a piece allowance so you are allowed unlimited pieces up to 30kg per person. This will be pooled between you so 72kg total weight.

No issues with an extra 12kg luggage, this is a QF silver benefit on Emirates and listed on the silver page under partner airline benefits:

When returning from Europe you can also use Emirates business class check in desks (they allow silver - look for the signage).

Two things here, on the Qantaslink flight you don't say where it's from but requires it to be packed in a bike box and meet the following dimensions and requirements on this page:

Emirates on the other hand have much loser dimensions (300cm total dimensions vs 250cm on Qantas) however they require a note to be added to the booking at least 24 hours prior so they know the bike is coming:

If it's a single ticket (which is sounds like it is) then luggage will automatically transfer across, when you check in for the Qantas flight you'll also receive boarding passes for the Emirates flight/s so you will not need to visit the Emirates desks in Brisbane at all.

Sweet. Sounds like we are good to go 👍
