It is a shame the I class airfare is not available on one way SYD-AKL....

Noticed that travel.com.au has LAN J fares Syd to Auckland for $691 til end March 2010. Booking won't complete online but there is 1300 number

It's cheaper from the LAN site direct :!:

Absolutely true and enter your QFF number and the flight shows up in my bookings on the QFF site. Absolutely painless - now the OMG leg - well - maybe not so painless.

It would be good to get the 20% off via Webjet :!:

I might ring them.

Thanks for this. I've always wanted to go to AKL and this seems like a great deal. Has anyone flown LAN J? I flew Y with LAN JFK-YYZ (1.5hrs), the service was excellent.

Seems like a good deal, considering NZ and QF is quoting $1000+ one way. Has anyone flown LAN in J?:?:

Maybe someone can help with the fare conditions? :

Cambios:

Thanks :)

Yep. Quite a few times now.

For the TT sector, it's nothing to write home about, although the seat pitch is enormous. Food going to AKL is just a snack - usually two sandwiches - and it's barely decent stuff. Going back to SYD is an OMG o'clock flight and breakfast is served.

IIRC and if the configs haven't changed, rows 6 and 7 of the A340 aircraft are a J cabin of its own.

Babelfish is your friend:
Changes:
* It allows to changes of date/flight without position.

or In front of a change of date/flight: If the tariff previously bought no longer is available or the change does not fulfill the original restrictions of the tariff, the passenger will be able to decide on a tariff superior, paying the difference and the position corresponding to the change if he applied.

or Changes of date/flight for passages (tickets) that partially have been used: One will load the difference between the value of the new passage and the value to him of the original passage, plus the position corresponding to the change if it applied.

Returns:
* It allows returns without position.

or Returns of passages (tickets) that partially have been used: One will give back to the difference between the value of the original passage and the cost to him of the trip already realised, except the corresponding position by returns.

Don't know how or where you were booking your fare, but I got my fare conditions in Inglés, not Español.

I think the LAN website was playing games with me last night - only the cancelation conditions were in Spanish, rest in English.
Today all of the T&Cs were in english.
Does the skybed operate on the AKL-SYD route for the red eye or just fixed seat on A340? Thanks.

The newer A340 fit is a bed. I'm not sure if all the a/c are fitted though. ;)

Considering the amount of time in the air, and with the sun coming up, I doubt you'll get much time for sleep anyway. Save that for when you get home and can collapse on a real bed.
