MrsGurio and i were discussing the idea of living in the US for a year and france for 3ish months sometime next year...
What do we need to do so? At this stage we will have to do some work while we're over there, the guys here will cover some of our expenses but not all and if we want to have some play money it's going to have to be that way. Is it easy to find a job over there? I don't have any qualifications as such but will quite happily do most things, MrsGurio does have a few banking related qualifications but all of them are Australian and i have no idea if they are even considered over there. Of course there is also GrommetGurio to consider, although she is only just 5 so its not that imperative that she goes and we could do stuff by correspondence if need be anyway im sure - and she'd get far more of an education in the real workd than at school anyway...
As a rough plan we we're thinking something like 3 months in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Colorado - We have a house there in Estes Park we can stay at for free for however long we want. In France we we're thinking something in the south - that would be the "holiday" type part as i have wanted to stay somewhere there for the longest time! We are both early 30's so I would imagine that would affect our plans somewhat as we aren't considered all that "young" by entry standards...
