....Re "fluffy" not being able to cross his legs SYD-DRW - my dogs sleep through the night from usually 10PM to 7AM without (most of the time) needing a "bathroom break" - that is considerably longer SYD-DRW.....

Mine does as well simongr, when he's in his normal routine, but when he's out of his routine, such as in a strange house or strange environment, then he's not quite so good. He's only a toddler at 15 months though!

The submission covers more than exit rows and pets, as you can see. It's good to see that Qantas is trying to get some of the silliness sorted out.

The US Government (TSA) screens passengers in Los Angeles. While the TSA permits knitting needles in aircraft cabins of the aircraft (Qantas aircraft), the Australian Government does not. Once a passenger boards a Qantas aircraft in Los Angeles an offence of strict liability carrying a penalty of two years imprisonment has been committed.

I understand that the airlines need to find a better way to transport pets, so that there are less deaths, but I think it is totally unfair to allow pets in the same cramped cabin with humans.

Both. Personally I would not want to travel with an airline that allows pets in the cabin.

I'd like to see Q let us take our lapdogs on board...but then what if a dogfight broke out...Q would be sued for any injuries..to dogs and humans...so if they were onboard in the cabin, where do we put them out of harms way.:?:

probably exactly the same way that airlines such as AA do and are required to be caged

Do AA let you have them in the cabin? My best friend is an AA FA I must ask her. I thought thats why the USA set up an Airline just to carry pets in the cabin and no humans...

Pets traveling in the cabin require a reservation to ensure no more than 7 pets are booked on any single flight. For this reason, it is recommended that you make arrangements in advance by contacting Reservations.

Allowed Travel Destinations
Domestic flights within the 48 contiguous United States, Alaska, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Croix.
From the U.S. to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean provided the country of arrival permits entry.
Carry-on pets are NOT ALLOWED to/from Hawaii or Transatlantic/Transpacific or Central and South America.
