Qantas upgrade

You can either pay the fare difference (I believe the change fee is waived if moving to higher cabin class per most fare rules), or using a Bid Now upgrade (https://www.qantas.com/au/en/manage-booking/upgrade/bid-now-upgrade.html). Note that Bid Now upgrades are processed after all Classic (Points) Upgrades are processed.

In theory Bid Now upgrades are not available on all flights, but in my experience if you go to the above link and put in your booking reference, it'll almost always let you put in a bid.

To pay the fare difference, you can press "Change" on your flight in Manage My Booking and simply select Business for the same flight, and pay the fare difference. If this isn't available you'll have to call up and hope the Call Center Agent knows what you're after.
