Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

I took up the buy $220+ giftcard for 1500 points, using everydayPay thru the app with x5 points until 9 August seems a simple collection of drib n drab points.

I quite like the everyday Pay use, very easy & user friendly.

5x points for using EveryDay Pay.

I still don't see why the app has to have my bank card saved in order for me to use gift cards!

Does it have to yeah??

I like that it defaults to using a giftcard over credit card though.

Does seem a little all automated & EDR having your CC on file so to speak, but I don't see much of an issue with it....until I get scammed etc.

This is exactly what I am not happy with. Woolworths is hardly a bank when it comes to app security.

They could just bounce the customer across to Google Wallet (or Apply Pay) if there are insufficient funds on the gift cards and a second tap would authorise the balance to be paid.

I hear you & agree.

So what happens if I remove my credit card details now once I have a giftcard in everyday Pay? Will I be unable to make payment via the GC?
Guess I should attempt this to have my answer!

1,000 points for setting up and using Everyday Pay. Minimum spend $1.00 Tuesday 26 July to 9 August 2022.

I guess it’s fine for 1 small transaction.

I still don't know what Woolworths actually gain, or how they make money from Everyday Pay. I assume its the data that they are wanting from it.

Few things I can think of:
* Another way of ensuring you scan your reward card, and preferably just one of them (makes it harder to use with multiple cards).
* Makes it even easier to use gift cards, without having to worry about the balances on each one, or making up the difference as a separate transaction. Any practice that encourages gift card usage is beneficial as it means Woolworths gets the money in advance of the purchase.

On the other hand, what's the effect of all those WW gift cards not being used up, misplace, lost etc. There'll be lot less of them by automating the GC's in this way.

I've read those figures are quite large. On all gift cards obviously.

breakage is a thing!

definitely noticed when I am away (usually overseas) when I get back the offers ramp up. Signed up for the 60$ / year deal, because I have a large family the 1st month discount almost paid for it. I guess it works as haven't shopped in Coles for years and pre buy a lot of stuff if bonus points, earns 75000 points in the last 12 months

Probably not targeted but some bonus points on Woollies prepaid mobile Starter packs:
$40 / 4500
$30 / 3500
$20 / 2500

Not particularly useful to me.

Spend $180 a week for 4 weeks and get 16,000 bonus points.

Dreamin.

I've checked my spend and in the past 6 months I've never spend more than $80 at a time. Seems an exceptionally high price spend increase. Although I have purchased a lot of gift cards. I'm thinking that, as has been the case historically for Coles, that gift card purchases are now being incorporated in the algoritm by Woolworths.
