Now this is better!

SYD-BNE-ISA on 737's I've been allocated 5C/D
ISA-BNE-SYD on 737/767 respectively allocated 5D/24J

Excelllent. Will try for 4C/D when the OLCI opens up.

Ok for my AAward flight SYD-LHR-SIN-SYD I have been able to allocate online our QF flights.

... but once babygr is allocated to the booking I will probably have to move to 4A and 4E.

I thought infant reward bookings weren't possible on AAwards? Are you just buying babygr a 10% infant fare to go with the AAwards? I know that QFF charge only taxes for the infant redemptions.

NB, is your QFF number or your AA number attached to the booking?

I can select exit seats when available with no disclaimer prompting.

Had a domestic reservation made late last week which had 5C/5C on 73H flights.

I could change the 5C to a 4C or 4D on one, 4D is available on the other but any attempt fails with the error Sequal mentioned.

I now have 4C and nufin! (Verified with www.checkmytrip.com)

Note the latter flight is quite "Sold" ( J2 D2 I0 B9 H9 K9 M0 L0 VC SC NC QC OC XC E0 )

When you say you could change the pre allocated seat from 5C to 4C or 4D, you mean you had the option to do this via the OLCI after T-24 right?

I made a booking for travel last week.

It included flights yesterday and this Friday.

For the Friday flights, 5C was preallocated for both segments (73H). Nothing for yesterday's (although at OLCI I snared 4D).

This morning I clicked on the

Select Seats icon.

For the first flight this Friday it showed my as being in 5C - 4C/D were available, I selected 4C and clicked next.

It then showed me as being in 5C for the second flight; 4C was blocked, but 4D was 'available' I selected it and clicked Next.

I then was shown a screen with an error message as noted, 4C for my first flight was displayed; it only indicated forward for my second flight.

Yes - this is one of the downsides to AAwards. I will be calling to book his flight and attach him to the booking tomorrow.

NB, is your QFF number or your AA number attached to the booking?

As I have now moved back to the QFF program only my QF number is in the booking.

That is the seat map for a 744 F cabin. Could be a 3 or a 4 class bird.

Yeah - I kind skipped the 3/4 config to avoid confusion. The good thing is then that we might/should be able to get F seats :)

Well there is only one thing I can confirm.... Us NBs do not have access..
(after this flight I will only be 15 away!)

And I have a flight Friday, Sunday and Monday and I do not see any seats pre-allocated for me nor can I change to any other available seat.

Very very confusing....

For my 4 flights this month.
22/06 0545 PER-SYD QF574 (333!) Woot!
22/06 1305 SYD-BNE QF528
26/06 1845 BNE-SYD QF551
26/06 2100 SYD-PER QF573

As a WP I can not access row 1 on any of them. Best I can do is 2A on each flight. Every row 1 seat is greyed out. FYI all 4 flights are S class points upgraded to U.

Ahhh! Didn't see that new icon... cheers! :D

Ditto for my flights from next month (S->U) but for my flight on Friday I was able to select 1K.

Seems not able to select seats on any Qantaslink flights...

Your flight is not eligible for seat selection however you can nominate aisle or window seat preference.

Just tried the seat selection myself - out of two domestic flights in June (CBR-SYD-CBR) the first two rows were completely unavailable (one D fare as part of an AONE4 trip, the other a full J fare) so ended up with 3D for both those.

Tried the same for my wife (also WP) on the same CBR-SYD flight and a different SYD-CBR return (in Business on U award fares) - again nothing available in rows 1 and 2 and 3F was the best we could select.

Unfortunately I've also noticed that the selections don't save unless you go all the way through an entire booking. For instance, on the 15 sector AONE4 trip, I selected a seat on the CBR-SYD flight, then clicked through but didn't change the seat already selected (over the phone) for SYD-LAX.

When the next flight (LAX-LAS on AA) appeared it told me I couldn't select a seat but could register a preference, but I've already had a seat allocated over the phone (which displays in CMT and at the top of the new Seat Selection tool). Not wanting to lose that selection I clicked the link to return to view my booking, but in doing so the selection for CBR-SYD disappeared.

I have just pre-allocated some seats and I don't find it particularly good.

I could not get the first row on most flights unless I wanted to sit in the middle seat. I could not get the second row on some flights either, unless I wanted to sit in the middle seat.

As a WP I would like to see more rows of aisle and window seats blocked for WPs (perhaps to Row 3, with middle seats being made available to SGs).

Exit rows were still mostly available for domestic flights but I don't bother with them for domestic, so it's not really an issue.

I'm a PS/QP - checked my flights - when traveling alone - can log in and get up to row 5.

My other flights when traveling with a NB, cant get anything forward of row 17. ( tried 4 flights)

Interesting that I can log into the NB FF account and still select seats, bookings linked with my PS/QP.

I assume the NB is dragging my seat selection options down for our linked flights ?

I just booked flights to ADL for late June for Mr & Mrs Tooner and the 3 little Tooners (one an infant). As I booked it, I appear to have set the seat preferences (forward window). Both legs showed no seats in Row 4. For the first leg to ADL gave us row 5, return leg row 8. ADL - SYD had a lot more greyed out seats, mostly aisle seats. I was able to see Exit rows on both flights, but didn't select for obvious reasons.

Overall a good result for the Tooners - first few rows for all flights:). I'm wondering how this is going to work when I need to book a flight to MEL next week!

Row 1 in either first or business cabins which in most cases was open to all pax for assignment, with the exception of some 333/332 intl services where you had to be a QF Club as a minimum is now only assignable for Chairmans's Lounge.

I tried a booking in my CRS and with the seat map row 1 was assignable for a CL pax - trying with a Plat not visible.
