Or maybe you actually had covid early in 2020 so have some natural protection.
Which again meshes with the emerging evidence that vaccinated people who develop covid as well have super powers 😀 Except this is in the reverse order. But in all seriousness I have suggested before that Flashbacks symptoms early in that new year were extremely consistent with Covid.

Laurence Fox posted this photo - the best comment I heard was when some antivaxxers were interviewing a doctor and they said they didn't need a vaccine because they had a good immune system. The doctor asked if they would have unprotected sex with someone who had an STI and they said no so he just hung up on them.

His middle finger is extremely long! And dirty. Love the comments. Apparently he and his kids were vaccinated a few months ago so he could holiday in Europe. Love the glasses comment.

Wasn't the best comment "Why do you need Glasses? You have eyes"

Shamefully SA Health has inflicted more mental anguish. A 95 year old grandmother with Alzheimer's was admitted to hospital in early January and was Covid positive. So almost a month ago. Her family were not allowed to visit for well, I don't know why not. Her grandaughter pleaded with Premier to allow her compassionate visits. She was dying and had not seen her family for four weeks. There was some discussion with SA Health on the Friday Arvo but a visit didn't eventuate. The lady died on Saturday morning. Alone for 4 weeks. Shameful.

Some results from Scotland that certainly will find their way into anti-vaxxers arguments.

Over the month of January the lowest covid rate of infection are in the unvaccinated. Though likely this is because of a much higher rate of previous infections than vaccinated individuals.
Also the 2 dose rate is higher than the 1 dose rate. Sounds implausible but it is extremely likely that most of those with 1 dose have received that recently where there is probably a longer time from those with 2 doses from their second jab.

Surprised he put this out given its so vulnerable to the argument that it an uncontrolled comparison.
Personally believe non-N95 masks do make a small reduction in transmissibility but doubt it would have made much difference to the Eastern States large omicron numbers. These were largely driven by Christmas social gatherings which were inevitably maskless (and masks would have been far from guarantees as many seem to want).

On reflection the NSW government should have seen the rapid increase coming and anticipated the mask/QR relaxation would get the (over-exagerrated) blame. Just maybe they thought that if they didn't have a reversal of the mask relaxation to throw the media, the calls for a lockdown would have become louder

And of course that graph doesnt take into account:

a. that many people choose to wear masks voluntarily even when not mandated
b. even when madated there is a significant portion of the population who dont wear them or wear them properly

and the fact that majority of tranmission is happening within households where people are generally unmasked.

RAT in order to go to work. Tax deductible?
Probably, you’d need to satsfy the usual tests around connection to income or business. Beware the FBT trap if providing self testing to employees.
Here’s one less thing to worry about…

Federal government to make COVID-19 PCR and rapid antigen tests tax deductible

Not sure if it will make anything deductible that wasn’t already but the fix to the FBT anomaly is a relief.

Cheers skip
