Australian state border restrictions

So mrsdrron flew back to BNE yesterday after having a negative RAT test.
At BNE no one to check either entry certificate or the covid test.
So why do they still require one.
I flew back into BNE yesterday too. A few cops roaming clearly targeting shall we say younger people not dressed smartly. Whilst waiting for my luggage the word profiling was coming to mind

I flew in at 6pm, came into gate 29, at the end of the middle satellite and it is a fair walk to the Qantas lower entrance where I meet my driver. I did not see one policeman the whole time, there was nobody checking anything anywhere. I mentioned this to my driver ( who we have used for the last 25 years !!) and he said its the same at MCY - occasionally there are 3 policemen there randomly checking.

I flew in at midday so maybe they were running a day shift only. These cops were in the baggage claim area.

NT abandons PCR tests prior to arrival, as per the ABC live blog. Interestingly the NT will hand them out for free to arrivals.
It was on ABC news last night that RAT tests kits would be provided free from the government. I didn’t hear the whole story.

Okay we’re in Melb CBD- planning to visit friends Mt Gambier (potentially) this weekend for event. I cannot make head nor tail of the SA Health website advice - we are all adults and triple vaxxed. I think it is no test required RAT or other but later says may have to go into quarantine if from a high risk LGA interstate - click here - so I did and page not found ! Anyone have any idea before I accept invite? I also could not open up the SA APP to download as instructed☹️
…thanks in anticipation

Don't plan on going out to buy any more RATs from Melb CBD...so many people out looking I wouldn't bother!! Might have more luck in some regional supermarkets if you need to buy more/top up :)

There are still some available in Launceston but the pharmacies were crowded so I didn't go in. One suburban Chemist Warehouse was out but said all of them here are getting them on friday. Said NSW should be getting them tomorrow,QLD and SA on Thursday and was unsure about Victoria.

Healthylife (owned by Woolies) is allegedly in stock online. Free express post if you buy over $70 though a warning it may be 4-5 business days until your order ships due to staff shortages and high demand.

Appears to still be some available here: You searched for | Werko
Thankyou so much. Just did a bulk order for staff at work.

I ordered some from here on 24th and they arrived to po Box in Adelaide today.

We ordered some of the VChek saliva RATs last week, wasn't expecting shipment until 2nd week of the month, yet have received the tracking this afternoon (for the 20 box kits, the larger order is still pending). Chose these as saliva tests and in the top end of the RAT sensitivities (Very High? I forget the range descriptors).

I did consider a quick QLD trip but decided not to as it’s too risky with flight cancellations. So I definitely would be one of those targeted 😳

On 27/12 I have purchased from this site and still showing stock in all categories

…however this site /from which I ordered is sold out in all categories

Still awaiting deliveries of both

One wonders if they do actually have stock? Hicraftsafety also do seem to be price gouging with prices 50%+ higher than “normal” retail. $49 for set of 5 is more normal price.
