Flybuys Targeted Bonus Promotions

Okay after multiple $2-5 spends to get my average spend down Flybuys have just given me a $50 x 4 weeks for 10000 offer :)

I received the same offer on a $60/wk spend.

This comes only a few weeks after running approx $40,000 worth of gift Mastercards through my account in the 10% off promo they had. That may have people questioning the theory that this type of activity throws out the algorithm resulting in huge spend targets.

oh really, you deliberately spent loose change a few times & you've been offered a $50 weekly spend.

nice one.

I often get the 20% return offers so I'm happy hitting them most times.
Yep, I go for a morning walk before breakfast so it’s easy to buy one or two small items. It seems to have an effect, but maybe I’m just luckily. Anyway a data point.

I've got some better offers:
  1. Two accounts had 4 * 60 for 10k points PLUS for each week that $10 is spent on select Coles product, and additional 1k points, so potentially 14k points.
  2. One account the same but only $50 spend
  3. Two accounts as others above received, both $60 * 4 for 10k points.
  4. One account got squat.

Collect 15,000 bonus points or $75 off your shop
Spend $130 in one transaction in-store or online at Coles, each week for 4 weeks!

Spend $40 each week for 3 weeks at Liquorland = 10,000 points.

Got this on 2x accounts and with Xmas fast approaching it is a no-brainer.

Finally, all accounts back to $50 4 wk 10K offers. Noticed this week that the "Shop M to Th/F@ spend $X get 2,000 point offers all gone.

2 Acccounts did get one-off $80 & $90 3,200/3,600 point offers as well - one was for a/c that previous 4 wk offer was $60, and the other (the $90) had got $50 4 wk offer last time around - curious.

I can beat that, got spend $100 4 weeks for 10k points.

Then double dip 8k+ points for $130 spend for each of the 1st 2 weeks of the 4 week offer.

So far I'll collect 27k points for sub $500 spend over a month.
Add on that credit card points, i like it. plus maybe more offers to double dip remaining 2 weeks.

Just hope the $130 x 2 week spend doesn't shift your future hurdle spend to $120 or more.

Some people have been known to activate two competing account offers such as 2 x 4 wk $50 spends to net the 20k points at total $400 spend over 5 weekends (effectively weeks) that the 4 wk offers go for to maintain the low spend requirements.

Your spend $130 for 2 weeks does intrigue me. The ones I've seen (until now) have typically been for spend $X once and get 40X points ($90 gets 3,600 etc). Your offer suggest an offer of 8,500 points/week for 2 wks spend of $130, a rate of over 65X points.

Has anyone else received similiar scale 2 wk offers?

Actually $140 for 8400pts.
It's one of those 3-4 day offers. But had 2 of them during each of 1st 2 weeks of a 4weeker. Real bonus.

Anyway haven't had these healthy double dip offers previously.

Yes I agree my spend may go up, but it's been over $100 recently & I don't participate. I only activate & follow thru if it suits our average usual spend which is 90-140. But don't go for 140 4weekers.
Game of chicken really.

I go to opposition occasionally, but they seldom have juicy offers. Rather poor imo.

We don't even check our 2nd FB account, should monitor it I guess.

How interesting!

Offering 60X points vs the more traditional 40X points. I hope this represents a scaling up of the old few day offer!

I decided to once again try Flybuys.I had a 4 day spend $70 for 2000 points ending Tuesday plus a spend $70 for 4 weeks for 10000 points. So I spent $75 on Monday but the 2000 points didn't appear and today a reminder to do my first week shop.
Went and looked at my docket and it has my FB number ending in 15 when mine ends in 14 and mrsdrron's in 24. How does this happen?
So off to the phone.

If you scanned your FB, obviously you did, I can't imagine how that would happen.

Very odd ball.

I've had five straight weeks of overlapping Fridays for "Spend $xx_, get 10,000 points" offers.

Started at $210, and went up $30 each week.

So 100,000 points for a combined minimum spend of $1,350.

I find it hard to get excited about four-week offers anymore.

100K Flybuys points can be redeemed for $500, so that is rather a good nett spend.

One week into spend $50x4 to get 10k.

Also had spend $60 to get 2k by today. A $60 by Tuesday for 2k arrived this morning.

If you have a look at the back of your card your will see the number is ever so slightly different to your account number (normallly just the last 2 digits). That's normal.

Bonus points offer time for crediting does seem variable for special one-off offers or times points offers. The 10K points tend to appear quite promptly but not always. A couple of times they've taken longer - once was 5 business days and the other was 9.

That said, I never assume FB will work correctly.

Their systems are very poor at best.

They are always good on honoring deals I give them that, but the number of times that requires follow up is deplorable.

The area I have the most issues with are getting the 50 points from filling in the "How was your recent visit to Coles?". 1 in 2 never show, so I've taken to screen shotting the last page.

I must admit, I haven't looked to hard on that one, I always do the surveys (KMart are always more painful), and think they generally come through but is a possibility I've lost a few.

They had an issue a long while ago but the rep here fixed it and I haven't experienced any problem on the survey points coming through
