And where will I put them?
230kg o_O (you won't be able to move them to vaccuum under them). You'll need a wide door and several (infected?) removalists to get them inside your home. Delivered to ground floor only.
Who's going to fix them once they break down? (as every flight I've been on has had at least one OOS.).

  • Weight of seats: 175kg; weight of timber rig: 60kg.
  • If, within 12 months of delivery, the Skybeds are faulty, significantly different from what was advertised, not doing what it is supposed to do, in breach of consumer guarantees; or where otherwise required by law, the member should contact Qantas Loyalty as soon as possible to organise an inspection and subsequent refund.
I am guessing there will be many former QF staff who can do all the moving and maintenance for me.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

I wouldn't mind the seats. I think they'd be pretty awesome to have. Now all I need to do is:
  1. Borrow several million points
  2. Lower my unit to the ground floor
  3. Widen my front door
  4. Find 20 blokes or a crane small enough to fit inside to move the seats into place
  5. Move house to one of the few places they'll get delivered to, even though Qantas does actually fly to Cairns. I know we're backwards here, but we do have delivery trucks here too.
  6. Stop my child from seating on the seats. This will be tough because he'll think they're awesome too.
Who has time to ask permission when you have higher priorities like these to work on.

Been at 1.2M for some hours now.. just a couple of bids to make it +4 points now. I guess people who were keen have reached their valuation point (pun intended)

For tomorrow's auction - the Dash 8 - you can bid to your heart's delight and provided you cancel the flight seven or more days prior to take off, you can have a full refund of points.

35min into auction 1.2M -> 1.743M (1,743,798 as I type)

So... should I bid 1,743,799? or 1,744,801?

so are those points now unavailable while you hold the top bid? curious

Just checked ~45 minutes later from bidding and they are still in my account.

Though that's the same way classic award deductions happen too - just for how long though i'm not sure.
