You know you are a former frequent flyer when...

You don't bother renewing your EF subscription.

If an Australian living overseas, the sign of not being a former frequent flyer is you are using EF more than ever - and that instead of setting up lots of "Seat Alerts" instead you have replaced by these my an infinite number of "Flight Alerts" (availability alerts).

I wouldn't describe my regular travels as equating to "frequent flying" ….but plodding away in the paddock yesterday, (filling in the rest of my life) a 777 disturbed my tranquility gliding in the BNE for some mysterious reason ( not to load up passengers and thats for sure :( )
I felt a bit sad ; the world really has changed, 2 years ago the traffic was so prolific and it was only something loud and ugly like a Russian freighter that would catch my attention… sigh...

Very relevant to me too.
I have forgotten both my passport number and my FF number.
I have decided that I have no chance of making the necessary status credits to maintain WP, and I almost don’t care.
Triple points offers are not enough to motivate me to book a flight.
Probably double status credits also would not be enough to motivate me to book either 😱.
I’m sure there are others…
To the confessional with you!

All I can say is, you chose to fly VA, just saying.
Nothing wrong with VA, they are cheaper and just as reliable - and the Travel Bank works far better and is innately less restrictive than Qantas' 'Voucher' system.
Your main source of Avios is from the cancellation of award bookings you can't take.
I feel that too. (Not Avios) but I even stopped making special efforts to chase points last year with the multiple business class award refunds my account received.

Instead of cackling with laughter when a points store or auction email arrives before deleting it, you actually click on the link.
Tttttoasters even!
