The view from my "office"

Life doesn't get any better than travel in the UK at the moment. This view is from my ground floor room at the Holiday Inn, Junction 2 of the M6, Coventry in the UK.

It is all so delightfully bureaucratic, gone are the days of front desk staff knowing who I am, I have to fill forms in advising of my reason for staying, and some sort of evidence that I am allowed to be travelling. Apparently I am a key worker - which seems odd as I can't remember the last time I "worked" and have no idea what key means in this context.

Griselda has me staying at Holiday Inns or Hilton Garden Inns to "build my points". I have no idea what she is talking about.

At lunchtime I had another talk to the artist and his wife.He was born on Cape Barren island.Taken from his family he worked mainly in labouring jobs.He turned to art 10 years ago and now lives on Bruny Island.

The birds on the column are mutton birds.

They are great and I may regret leaving it at home ;)
But where is the Pizza oven? ;)🤣
No regrets leaving that at home, it weighs in the vicinity of 4 Ton....

I don’t know what members think they can see, but I only have a bbq and a 3 burner stove to cook with. Weber Q’s don’t boil a billy very well.....

(I cannot cook with the coffee machine)

Before my brother was sent to Africa for a few years, he did a toughening up course in those islands including some mutton-birding.

To be effective trying to blend in a bit, the whole underside of the helipad should be painted sky blue as well. We know that’s not going to happen....
