Vinomofo Wine Deals

Thanks for the tip, ordered it
Just a heads up on the Mitolo Savitar 2017, despite being advertised as under screwcap, the wine that has arrived is labelled Domestic Cork Sealed and has a natural cork, not Diam.

Thanks for the update. Interestingly enough Mitolo Savitar 2017 is on Dan Murphy site as having a screw cap enclosure. Perhaps this was the batch made for export by Mitolo? So long as the wine is good, that is what really matters!

Says "Domestic". What really matters to me is that (some of) the wine will have now or when I want to drink it in a few years time, cork-related flavours I don't like, as well as the risk of tca contamination. I'll drink the one I removed the capsule from to check the actual seal and send the rest back for a refund.

Around $50 per bottle?
It is a very subjective recommendation as views on Pinot Noir can be quite polarising.

I would recommend

Initially I was going to suggest Bannockburn Geelong Pinot Noir but was puzzled y so many negative reviews.

Personally my favorite Au Pinot Noir is from Geelong. But Mornington Peninsula, Tasmania, Yarra Valley make some fine Pinot Noir - all depends on a personal Taste

Other Pinot Noir in that price range to consider would be Curly Flat Pinot Noir from Macedonian Ranges and Giant Steps Applejack Vineyard Pinot Noir from Yarra Valley.

I also tried Bass Phillip Crown Prince Pinot Noir (their budget/poor man version of iconic Au Pinot) and was a bit underwhelmed.

Appreciate coughhing assistance with this one. Any ideas?

I suspect it could be Lustre Collection 2018 McLaren Vale Shiraz

"...a rich dark chocolate and liquorice bouquet.." and a mandatory 95 points from Sam Kim plus vegan friendly

We all know the mentality of pricing by now, the 'Was" and now "Is" philosophy that would make many a New Zealand Ahuriri river fresh water trout angler envious, throw em out, reel 'em in, but the value on offer on this one is supurb. Throw in the money back guarantee and you cannot go wrong. I have too much now but a better than good Maccas Shiraz is a beautiful thing. Back to the marketing and pricing. Considering the normal retail on this one, I personally would feel very upset if it didn't taste at least in the full flavoured, moorish, complex spectrum. The apprehension, temptation and expectations on the more expensive Fo offerings are part of the appeal and the drama and the theatre that is Wine Drinking which we all love so much. Naz zdrowie !

Tried this today with a friend who wanted one of the 6-packs, it's true to the Savitar structured style, but a bit too lean and lacking fruit weight, with a hard/bitter edge to the aftertaste. Not an enjoyable drink now or in a foreseeable future for me or him, it's all going back.

Evening all,

Hoping to gain your thoughts on what this could be

Any assistace is appreciated

I suspect that it could be Thistledown Summer Road Old Vine Grenache Shiraz
