I need help please in planning iternary for rtw. I have expertflyer and in the past I was able to use it to plan. I'm going to option for rtw and putting in dep. and same arrival city, bne-bne, correct dates and qf, ba, aa and class as y, but no entries come up. what am i doing wrong?

also, i'm trying to use oneworld iternary rtw planner but it loads but nothing comes up.

thanks for your assistance.

Not sure I understand...you're trying to find a BNE-BNE flight?

I've found the OneWorld RTW planner pretty good - if it doesn't show any availability, you might have to try a different route.

Cheers,
- Febs.

I am doing something wrong. In expert flyer i think you are suppose to put departing and arriving city down and it is recognized as rtw, but it isn't happening for me.

in oneworld.com i enter the multicity site, it shows it is reading it but then the page comes up with nothing.
thanks

And still some believe there's no place for travel agents!

That only works if you're using the fare information function to look up the rules/fare quotes. You still have to plan your own itinerary flight by flight and expertflyer will not help you with that.

Have you got the latest version of Flash installed?

Re the expertflyer thing - what you do is select BNE as the start/finish but then choose "NO" in the drop down for "Filter results".

That will give you the fares from which you can get the fare rules.

Re the OW itinerary planner - download the OW timetables and install it then when you click on RTW planner and it should take you to this site -> FlightMaps v5

Once you have then planned your flight you will need a TA to book the itin or you can book through AA.

Ditto. I used OW RTW planner then rang QF and discussed it with them, made a few modifications and went to TA for her to book. Wouldn't do it any other way. TA is a gem! Itinerary is SYD-SIN-LHR-AMS-PRG-BUD-ATH-MAD-BCN-MIA-LGA-ORD-LAX-KOA-HNL-SYD. There are a few funny bits in there that a good TA sorted out for me and a couple of sectors that I have paid for myself. I think that this is post 350 for me!

There's a few RTW planning help threads so I hope I've chosen the right one.

A Philippino friend has asked me for some assistance with her impending travel. I can work on a oneworld ticket for her but I doubt it would be better than the $3,700 she's been quoted which, I believe, is with Star.

The friend needs to depart Adelaide on or about 1 May for Manila (stop). Depart Manila on or about 16 May for London (stop) and make her own way to Nice. Depart Nice on or about 6 June for Vancouver (stop). Depart Vancouver for San Francisco on 13 June (must be in SFO no later than 13 June) (stop). Make her own way to Los Angeles and depart for Australia around 30 June, returning to Adelaide.

From her limited English I've pretty much deciphered that the quote above is with Star (she mentioned (i) she would need to spend one night in Singapore, (ii) route through Bangkok, (iii) Nice to Vancouver would be via Frankfurt and (iv) the agent said it would need to be ticketed by 29 January).

Any thoughts on how this might work, particularly in getting a cheaper option? Is my thinking that oneworld would be expensive correct?

maybe an LLGLOB26 ... try this: adl-syd-mnl-hkg-lhr-yvr-sfo-lax-syd-adl

A side trip NCE-LON would need to be procured

I agree with simong, the OP needs to check his computer and update flash! My PA had the same prob recently when booking a RTW on the QF site
