Well.... apparently a flap problem, boarded and back to the gate, sitting in the lounge ever since.... 17:05 planned departure is now 23:15 or 23:30.
Not really interesting except i wont get much sleep tonight ... grrrr.

If it was me, I'd find a corner in the F lounge and have a decent number of drinks, or nod off for a few mins at a time. Those reclining chairs are particularly good

Not fun!! That was almost my flight, but I opted for the 18/1 flight instead.

On the upside weather in Singapore is quite nice right now, so when you finally arrive you can enjoy it.

Quick call nonews and advise them of another "incident" for QF.. Just get some cash out of them or you'll have to sell the story to ACA.

Still i think i have drunk a bottle + over the hours
I should rest a little i think after that.

Was on the recliners but moved to a seat behind them to eat with my flying buddy. Actually just a random woman i picked up and brought with me

That sucks... I'm not particularly happy about it either - sitting in the Lounge in Singapore waiting for QF009 to London... oh well at least I'm somewhere comfortable and not sitting/sleeping outside the gate. It's currently showing an estimated departure time of 5am Singapore time.

Wow, that is pretty interesting. A dual stop report on the delay! Do you know if they're going to keep the lounge open until 5am? J lounge or F?

Get the news as it happens here first No word on if the J lounge will stay open - but I'm guessing there'll be a lot of hungry people hoping for it. No announcement has been made here yet. There was an announcement about a delay on QF010 to MEL because of "a medical incident" but there weren't any other details.

The MEL Flounge staff were great, we ended up landing at around 4am.
Immigration was chaos (well not really but at that time you just want to get out of there !).

As for Mr T Smith in 54J, your a wanker ! if your company is too stupid enough to say $200 flying you MEL-SIN-KIX instead of you going MEL-HKG-KIX or MEL/SYD-NRT and take the train and you dont leave enough time between meetings well thats there problem, hardly the fault of the QF staff who he was very rude to. These things happen some times, not much you can do about it but no point getting angry at the staff who also had been on duty and at the airport around the same time we were.

I was upset at how he was treated, that a person so rude was moved to W, but then again i guess it stopped an escalation where he may have been met by special escorts in SIN to be asked some questions His lucky day if you ask me. (That the staff did not take any more offense and make his life uncomfortable)

At the end of the day, you got there late, but safe. Better than on time and injured!

Yes, well i did make a comment to QF on email about it because i felt it set a very bad example. It only makes there life harder for the CSM's in future if people think that will work. The fact i could hear every word 2 rows back with earplugs tell you i could not sleep !

Apart from that the flight was fine. A day in Singapore and i just arrived in Shanghai this afternoon on SQ830 and the 2 or 3 hours drive is now behind me and in the hotel.
