Alonso returns to Renault Team in 2021, this will be interesting seeing as the 2021 cars wlll essentially be 2020 cars, all irrelevant anyway as people are swapping seats to be "pantsed" week in week out by far superior Mercedes car this season, and next season. All about retaining currency and fitness to get a seat in the 2022 season with new regs and the possibility of a more even playing field.

McClaren starting to look OK - first race and we are seeing Honda and Renault engines blowing up, Ferrari engines down on horsepower, could be a good year for the "Pink Mercedes" team (BWT Stroll). And that was the second time Hamilton and Albon have come together isn't it? LeClerc impressing me more and more and great to see Norris up there.

Late race safety cars, and turn on the sprinklers at random points in the race, might be the best way to retain any tv coverage and attention.

Quite interesting re Alonso. It's like Renault deem him the Messiah to fix all their woes...

Vettel to Red Bull? Could be interesting given he won't want to play second fiddle.

Second time in as many races for Hamilton and Albon - pretty sure it was last race of last year also.

Renault F1 has been a basket case for so long now I fail to see Alonso will change any of this.
2022 will hopefully mix it all up but my money would most definently not be on Renault to be anywhere near the front of the pack.

How long until Renault opt for a Mercedes or Honda engine? 🤣

Is there where one can watch the race on line FOC. If so would some one be kind enough to share with me.

Many thanks

1 less Renault engine. RIC should probably wait until the end of the year before taking out his annoyance on them. :)
On the news recap on formula1.com, it didn’t indicate an engine replacement.

I guess I’m in the same boat as you (no Kayo or Foxtel), I just set my alarm to follow online

With free practice 3 a wash out, if they can’t do Qualifying today or the morning of race day, it will mean Free Practice 2 will be the starting grid.

Riccardo was last in FP2:eek:

Out of tyres.
Mind you Stroll wasn't much better, if Dan hasn't yielded Stroll would have gone straight into him as he didn't make the corner.

Perez and Albon were just plain lucky
