Uh Oh.. another box of cooking wine ?? ..

I had a 2005 last night and it was perfectly fine. For $8 a bottle I wasn't expecting a wine ready to cellar, just an aged wine ready to drink, with knowledge all monies were going to good causes. Doubt you'll find better value right now.

Well it took a while but we got there - after a couple calls and a weeks wait Senior CM dude finally addressed my queries - the Krug has only been in CM's Tanunda storage whouse (12deg) for a short period before sale - it came direct from Moet Hennessey Aust so I think you could reasonably assume it has been whoused correctly since arrival into AU.

Proof of the pudding will be Sat nt now that friends have been released from captivity

FTR: whouse = warehouse and not coughhouse.

How did your Krug go? Cracked one at lunch yesterday and I'm satisfied with the provenance. Was classic Krug and some nice bottle development too.

I believe that the lindemans limestone ridge 2014 is available for $30 a bottle as the wild card wine at cellardoor today.

Seems to be a pretty big Dan's sale on at the moment. A lot of "under wraps" stuff though. Anyone spied any winners amongst them?
Most of the under wraps offers are less then $2 under the prior usual price and a couple I looked at are actually more than a prior offer.

There are a couple of new Barossa Cabernet 2016 offers, seem to be Chateau Tanunda Noble Baron and Sorby Adams Isolde, both also on DM site as normal listings.

I didn't buy anything.

I assume CELLARDOOR.co members all got the “unlocked rewards box“ email, any guesses as to what the 3 wines will be?

this was the same email containing MAYREWARD to help unlock the next level, but I doubt that I'll ever make it to Bud

Any existing members feel like a new friend? ;)

check the referral thread, though I don't know if new members will be eligible for MAYREWARDS - let us know

Happened to be near my local VC store today so popped in to check on my click & collect orders. As expected they had no stock available in store and suggested me to call customer service, which I did. Quick check verified there is no stock in BNE nor anywhere else in QLD for that matter.

I was positively surprised that instead of trying to cancel and refund I was offered free delivery from interstate within 5 business days. Now that’s good customer service!

in my experience, most retailers try to fulfil orders, even via interstate, to keep the sale and customer happy

I have now been sent the ready for collection email - its 39 bottles with 9 tracking numbers.... I guess they could close my account, but I understand title transfers to me if I pick them up ?

any updates to share?

The UMAMU SBS 2009 and CabSav/Merlot2006 may have been better left in a museum
somewhere Electrotec, happy though to have supported a Bushfire fund.
Yep, I ended up with 2009 SBS. An old white is much less appealing than an old red...hadn't even contemplated that could be what would turn up.

My email has a note to say :
Voucher is valid until 11:59pm, Sunday 31st May 2020.

But there is no voucher listed anywhere. Recent purchases put me into a higher level so I guess that is why I didn't get the voucher

I decided to take (most of) CE's advice
And never NEVER post what you do here or anywhere

Wolf Blass Brown Label Shiraz 2015 $25 a bottle at cellardoor.co

I believe there’s also similar offer directly with the winery which comes down to $25 p/bottle on average.

Not very flattering reviews on Vivino for this one.

Some are better than others.

Recently Liquorland refused to offer any replacement for sold out Taylor’s Cab Sav, despite admitting the price wasn’t a mistake and they had their Shiraz and plenty other equal value products in stock, some of them were still on the same sale.
