Top Three Holiday Photos

Hi all

I was recently inspired by the amazing photos that were displayed in this thread -

So many amazing photos taken by us as a group and I'm sure we would enjoy traveling through everyone's photos. Therefore, I though that I would start this thread with limited rules.

Post only the three photos from one round trip that you like best and share it with us all.

I look forward to seeing some amazing photos.

Looking at some of the other photos I feel very inadequate but as an amateur I have taken enough to get some right I think. These are from 2017 in Italy and Greece.

Pompeii. I'd love to know what he's thinking about the world today.

Capri. Probably my proudest moment as a photographer (I'm easily pleased) but I thought this was a good one.

Mykonos. A nice contrast between the quiet of the dock and the hustle bustle of the beach.

Do the rules allow for more than one post on the basis that the 3 photos are from the same trip. I have no artistic talent so most of my photos are not that good however as most of my “free stuff” posts ask for photos I thought I join in from the other side.

To quote Wayne’s World ”We're not worthy! We're not worthy!”.

Good effort. Liked the philosopher image. We should have a new thread for a suitable caption! :)

And further, from the rules, can one do multiple posts from different trips? It’s very difficult to just pick only three!

If you had posted anyone of these photos in my “free stuff” give-a-way posts you would have stood a chance of getting what ever was on offer, not just my pick as MrsM knows how much I want to go to Mongolia. It is not on her list and has given up on saying no and replaced with just go by yourself. Mongolia, Tibet and Bhutan are at the top of my list of must visit list.

Thanks for sharing.

I did ask the same question but obviously not very coherently and I didn't even have that much to drink then. The OP has posted two lots of photos from separate trips so I think go for it.

Correct. That was my intention.

So if you have done 20 individual trips (even back to the same location), then feel free to post 20 set of three pics.

Thanks to all who have posted their amazing pics!

No need to feel inadequate. This thread isn't a photo contest. There are no judges here and no one wins any prize.

Simply post the three pics that you like the most so that the rest of us can travel vicariously with you!

I am sure you will have a fantastic time visiting these places as they are just so different from the normal destinations. Temperature gets down to about minus 40 C during the winter months! Only wish I could have posted more photos as I have some really interesting ones. Also interesting how many people walk around wearing the traditional clothes and the department store has so many real fur coats and other items :-( Anyway it is an amazing place and the huge statue is made from stainless steel and you can go inside the statue and there is a viewing platform at the top. Have a great trip when you go but beware the pickpockets, they are rife!
