The T&C's make me question if they may have closed this loophole....?

"Flight gift vouchers purchased during the promotion but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Status Credits."

I assume 'redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period' means redeemed before 25 Feb 2020, for travel by 14 Feb 2021?

For those looking to maximise DSC there is currently a business class sale from AKL to KUL on QF for 2990NZD return, fare basis ISNZ

Akl-syd/Mel-sin-kul

400SC return excluding non DSC QF codeshare on 3k

So 800with DSC return isn't bad

*SIGH* The first rule of.... *SIGH*

As I noted much earlier. The T&C have not changed a great deal and it seems to me that things should work the same way as they have in previous years...

YMMV.

Happy flying.

As long term AFFers know, QF monitor this forum.

So the more people openly discuss “creative” ways to maximise the DSC, the more likely it is that method disappears.

First rule of fight club....

As I see it, it's an option giving the user flexibility to do flying that is intended anyway (BIS with QF - which is what QF wants), and it possibly induces some additional flying (BIS with QF - which is what QF wants), without having to pin down exact dates up to almost a year ahead. That's all my brother did last year.

Win-win.

Any flight with a QF flight number on the ticket which is not operated by Qantas including Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Jetstar Japan, Jetstar Pacific and other partner airlines are not eligible for this offer

So would flights like easternaustralia or other via canberra be included???
Flight QF1461 is operated by Qantaslink - Eastern Australia A/l

Qantaslink (inc Eastern / Sunstate / National Jet etc) all operate services FOR Qantas. They all sell their tickets as QF flights. It is not a codeshare agreement like JQ/AA etc.

So for all intents and purposes, including DSC, Qantaslink flights are operated by Qantas.

Sure. And this may be the reason there has been no enforcement.

But as with anything in the FF game, it could change at any time.

YMMV

Thanks and much appreciated. I now have a number of flights between BCI-LRE and I had to look up where BCI is.

Well. You never know, you could take the “spirit of outback” to BCI, and then fly onto LRE and do a 100th anniversary visit to the QF Founders Musuem

@CaptJCool QF must want travellers to stay at LRE ;) I was getting bored of going BCI-LRE and thought I should mix it up a bit and tried to book LRE-BCI a couple of times. Each time I tried the booking system threw me out and back to the home page  Good old QF IT.

It's a triangle route. It only operates BNE-BCI-LRE-BNE.

It’s actually not an error. QF (link) flies that route as a triangle, BNExBCI-LRE-BNE.

I assume that is Y? Noobie question, but if for some reason you did need to change the flight ;) , does it need to rebook into Y, or can you book into Q,V etc as long as fare more expensive?

Can anyone tell me, with the 2x SC offer, does the flight have to originate from Aus? I need a one way flight from LHR to Mel, would this qualify?

It is a global sale, but have a gander at the T&Cs to satisfy yourself which can be found at post 1.
