Great site guys, been a long time fan, but short time member.

I've been thinking of booking a DONE4 ex Philippines, Japan or SAfrica over the last few months. Was wondering if anyone has built an interactive pricing model? Was thinking of entering the host currency amount in Excel and manually updating using an online currency converter "xe" or similar) but want to know if there's an easier way?

I am sure somebody on FT has done it... great idea.
If only i had a tool or access to same :)

Just for reference the current best prices are mostly Korea and South Africa. Japan is way out of the running now, as is the Philippines due to USD strength.
Korea can be a challenge for payment although you should now be able to do it from a EU country, See QF009's current thread.

You can look up the table on the oneworld forum on FT. Generally, ex-MNL isn't competitive now due to the strong USD (fares from several countries are denominated in USD, including Philippines and Indonesia, same goes for ex-NRT due to the Yen's steep appreciation.

exSouth Africa would be good, but you'd waste a continent if you don't intend to visit Africa. JNB-SYD can be difficult to obtain in D or A depend on the day of the week. Base price of ZAR45000 (AUD4418.99) for DONE4, or ZAR51500 (AUD5057.29) for DONE5. +++s dependent on which carrier you ticket via.

exICN might also be a great option due to the presently weak KRW, at KRW6776800 (AUD4811.53) for a DONE4. Might be easier to get to from Oz.

I think you may be using the wrong exchange rates..

from xe.com

ZAR 45000 = AUD 6927 (1AUD = 6.49ZAR)
ZAR 51500 = AUD 7927 (1AUD = 6.49ZAR)
KRW 6776800 = AUD 6998 (1AUD = 968.95KRW)
