When I fly POM-CNS in economy I usually earn 20 status credits but the last time it was only 10. The class booked was "K". The Qantas online calculator gives you 20 sc's for economy and 10 for discount economy. It is booked through my work, so maybe they have changed the class of booking?

I assume "K" class is discount economy - Is this correct?

For international flights K is indeed discount economy (as is everything except 'Y'). So if you have got 20 before, you must have been in 'Y'
