I was surprised 2 days before the end of FY to get an immediate response online from The ‘do you need some help’ button and a fast answer to my question. Given the millions of members they have I thought that was impressive timing.

I joined up and need to TF minimum $350...I have heard a lot of good things about this fund and am thinking of directing my work super payments here.

So did anyone do this for their kids?

Even with the 15% tax (which I think applies to concessional contributions), it's not a bad deal.

We got our son to open an account with Australian Super last week. Forget all about the QFF offer  But we didn't forget about the LISTO payment. He missed out on the points, but pockets $500 from the Gov.

All well and good for pool-playing, business class-flying, jetsetter offspring on a low income @amaroo, :D but my kids aren't employed (stoopid child labour laws) and thus don't receive concessional super contributions. They'll have to make do with my non-concessional payments.

Joined about 21 June 2019 so hopefully won't be too long before some points hit my account...

Does anyone know what the earliest age is that you can open a super account for your child?

I opened accounts for my 8 and 6 year olds. It went through fine online but I'm yet to see the paperwork that I received for my account.

Wife account opened early May - no points. Send online complaint. Admin fees eating up deposit with little growth (despite aggressive option).

Australia's biggest super fund warns members to prepare for lower returns
“AustralianSuper experienced a record $16 billion in net funds inflow in 2018-19, including more than $5 billion from large retail funds, as the Banking Royal Commission highlighted scandals and fee rorts in the sector”.

Offer extended until 31st Dec :p The remaining three in the household will now take advantage

How Long until the funds appear in a new account?

ATO SBSC easy pay submitted Jul 26th, matched Aug 1, but no sign of funds in super account.

I have rechecked all details.

I took the advice up thread that $1000 was the sweet spot. Got the 20000 points and made $24 in earnings. Now transferred out.

unfortunately forgot to use the proper link to set up accounts for other family. Going to have to let those accounts expire and then try again if this promo comes back.

The funds appeared, but they have taken over $200 in insurance out. I opted out of all insurance at enrolment. My account shows I have no insurances.

With online chat I have the following exchange:
Your account was opened on the <late July>, however our system will show that the date you joined the fund is 130 days prior on the <mid march>.
This is for insurance purposes, as you may receive a backdated contribution that is for a contribution period before the date you joined the fund.
This allows us to make sure your insurance cover starts on the first day of your contribution period which can sometimes be before you joined the fund.
The employer contribution started from the 01/04/2019 ...
My 'case' has been sent to another department for "review" and to expect contact in 5-7 business days.

Hopefully this is not going to get messy. :(

GSP, has your wife received her points yet? I haven't. Aust Super said they have completed their part but QF says it takes 2-3 months .....

Hi Maisy33. No, points till not received. I need to online chat to them, but don't get home often enough prior to 7.00pm when their chat line closes.

Has anyone tried withdrawing from AustralianSuper into an SMSF? How difficult is the process?

Anyone having issues with this? I signed up last night. First issue is it wouldn't accept my mobile number. Something about it appears to be disconnected. Eventually signed up, but now unable to login. Both last night and today, implying they're having website issues. Is it just me?

Do you mean a rollover because that's what it would be if the money is preserved. Shouldn't be too hard; I used to process these several years ago when I worked there - just make sure you provide the appropriate compliance details.

It did not get messy; the four various insurance deductions totalling over $200 have simply disappeared since midweek and the balance is back to what it should be. 😌

(There has been no correspondence received yet.)

Australian Super have had my $350 for 92 days and still no QF points. I have contacted QF and Australian super numerous times via email, live chat, Twitter and by phone. Have been given various excuses by each person. The last call to Aust Super I was told that my complaint would be escalated....
