Then I can only assume that the quantity of red consumed was not outrageous. Or do you just recall the party and not the details such as the incident in the closest

Yes, I still have the First BP, NM and yes, I only opened 4 very decent bottles of red from my cellar, so it wasn't outrageous. The incident in the closest ..are you sure you haven't been drinking :o ...or are you meaning closet...nope, can't remember that one. Was it good??

Anyway, back to the topic, I agree with all the other posters that you are outrageously spoling your GF with a First trip...golly, I spolied my then GF (now wife) 3 weeks after I had met her, by buying her a QF ticket BNE/AKL/CHC/SYD/BNE (in whY) and upgraded all sectors with points, so she could fly to join me in AKL at the end of my DONE4....well, she had no idea about the upgrading until she checked in for the first sector. Then she started to like this J class travel...and expect it every time we flew together. It's hard when the level of expectation has risen to a point when anything less is disappointing...like "what do you mean you couldn't get an upgrade cleared...I thought you were a Platinum member" is one I remember well :D

My girlfriend also now seems to think J is the only way to fly... actually whe understands but is always hopefull and happy to have a J upgrade on the long sectors. And she seems to think the Flounges are rather nice places to hang out, so much so, that going to the airport a little earlier than usual now seems to be the normal :)

Whilst it may be spoiling her the F seats were the only ones available. No J or Y+ available and Y doesn't count. I wanted to use points so voila! F it was.

There is also a little of a present to me here as well. I enjoy F seats and having someone to share some Dom is a good way to go.

and there was me with Mrs C and her business upgrade to Hong Kong whilst teh rest of us were in y!
I stopped at 5 and said "this is your seat"
SHe said she didn't want it and kept going to my seat in Y!

I couldnt get her into it at all

I'll save all the upgrades for me on business trips! (all to first)

I seem to be lucky with my requests but then i fly on "off peak" times when first is not likely to be full.

ANd thanks to the board again for letting me know i can request specific seats
I discovered i had apparently asked for 13 or 16 on a 747 and now have a request for 16:lol:

When i lived in the big noodle and was a regular CX patron, and with PPS in sin I had a specific seat in my profile - say 11K for 747. Does anyone know whether QF does allows this information to be automatically styored and retrieved?

My understansing is no - they allow in your FF profile either forward or rear, window or aisle (well, last time I looked). Then QF's seating system does the rest.

Probably another reason they also say in the safety briefing "you are likely to be sitting in a different seat"...
