Speculation: Dynamic pricing will destroy a benefit of WP/P1, namely the ability to request the release of classic award seats.

Now WP/P1 will simply be told to pay the going market rate.

I don't know how OW awards can survive the advent of dynamic pricing.

They are almost certainly changing or being outright eliminated.

Managed to knock one up at 280K

Fingers are crossed.....

While QFF can do dynamic pricing on their own flights, *O classic awards still would need to book into award buckets of their *O partner's flights.

So, no. (Unless QFF simply drop *O classic awards as AAdvantage did with their '*O Explorer awards.)

LAX-MEL Economy Classic showing up for one date as 59,300 points + $117... hmmmm.View attachment 171211

The prices on the map seem to be round trip. So in this case, it would be a decrease in points.

Dynamic pricing, but still can’t see any seats on the graph around peak periods like school holidays.

No, that was the one-way price on the booking page, LAX-MEL for a particular day in Jan.

How will a person identify which QF flights are available? I'm thinking they are likely to be abolished.

Dumb question - but how are people seeing dynamic pricing for classic rewards?
The fluctuations in the histogram seem to be reflecting the inclusion of partner award flights which increase costs for specific routings?

I’m hoping this means that X, Z, U and P will remain at classic levels and the rest of the dynamic will be drawn from other fare classes?

Qantas were updating their website with the new prices.

Clearly dynamic as some prices are lower than ever before.

And some are higher (eg I was seeing higher prices on some days between SYD and MEL -- no partner awards there!).

Economy Redemptions will decrease, premium redemptions will increase, while tax component goes down.

Oneworld points will increase 0-600 miles 20,000 points.

Dynamic Pricing - Not going to happen yet. QF does not have the IT purchased to do such a thing.

Melbourne to Adelaide.

Up to 19,600+$144 points in Y. Ouch. There certainly will be some increases.
