NM, can totally agree with the wedding anniversary situation you had - similar for Mrs LW, she as thinking that surviving 5 years with me and producing issue, she was deserving of some expensive soft white metal with a multi-coloured stone together with some very hard clear stones. Amazing what we males of the species will pay for the ensemble and how the females treasure these little baubles. Still, a happy wife means a happy life...

I would never say something like drron (never said anything about thinking itthough ). However, coming from a real doctor (retired IIRC?), I think that's actually quiet funny :D

Next major milestone is next year. And I do note that some people get a lesser sentence for murder. So now I start the search on how to blow my AAdvantage mileage balance on a nice way to celebrate next year. I see no reason to expect the Probation Board to make any change to my current sentence.

Anyone noticed the free falling Australian dollar I can't believe how low its got.

It dipped under 70 US Cents last night.

With only a few weeks till I'm in the U.S, have been watching it closely :(

Has dropped about 30% in the last few months. Very little was pre-paid when it was worth something, although I do have a few hundred $US in T/C's floating around...

Tell me about; I have two bookings made for SFO and ATL hotels next month that I could have pre-paid USD210 in total - they would have cost ~AUD225; I chickened out and took flexible - price isn't coming down but the bookings total USD260 -now ~AUD320!

One bonus though was I booked and ticketed YUPs for USD1040 and @ 96¢ paid AUD1080, that's AUD250 saved on todays forex.

Fortunately before I left I got a lot of $US at 96.5 cents.Only the hotels are being paid by CC,but boy are those getting expensive.

We are saying the same thing :!:
Probably. I hope I am not repeating the same things.

If it was acceptable during the season it still should be acceptable.
Not sure I agree with this statement but tough luck. It is not the first time in rugby league that the rules have been interpreted differently at different times. It is unfortunate that the Storm were victims this time. Tough luck. If I remember correctly there was a very iffy Storm tackle that knocked Stewart out of last years grand final. Such is life....

People trying to work out if the wonderful T&Cs posted were a hoax or the points capping at 5K was a hoax...

Actually, I think people are starting to get sick of the 'joy' of the Amex promo. It's amazing what happens when you don't get instant rewards to behaviour (ie what happens when Amex culls points posting every x transactions).

The one thing that they did get right was the 8-10 week clause. I am not sure if they ever intended the to go immediatley as they were (I expected a lump posting each month tbh), an it would be a much bigger feeding frenzy now if they kept it up. We are all part seagull!
