Yep they didn't ask me for a payslip either!
Well less than 12 hours later (without even providing a payslip or anything) I have been approved!
Same happened for my son but applied for husband last Saturday and they have dragged their heels with phone call questions, documents and he's in a better financial position than son, can't work Citibank out

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The experience has been pretty poor. I've applied the card last week and I've submitted all my supporting documents and still no phone call/update from them.

Applied on 21 May, approved on 24 May (no phone call).

Currently also holding a Citibank Plus Transaction and a Qantas Premier.

For those approved have you been approved for the "Citi Signature Qantas" card. A number of people over at Ozbargain have been given the "Citi Signature Rewards" card instead. My statement also refers to it as this.
Now I'm a bit worried. When clicking on original link it takes you to the 90000k promo but "Apply Now" takes you to the other card.

Lucky I read your comment as I was about to apply for it and I may not have noticed that the link was wrong. Does anyone have the correct link for it?

I think they are still called a Citi Signature Rewards card. As long as the application process asked for your QFF number, you should be ok.

If things are not going your way then there is always Internal dispute resolution and External dispute resolution process that you can follow. As long as you have done the right thing and it is a bank issue the EDR will rule in your favour and compel the bank to honor what they have advertised.

Will also be interested to hear which card people actually received in light of this info. Mrs NoName is about to apply but may hold off for a bit yet.

Have a mate in the same position as you, keep us posted!

I just checked and in the app it shows Citibank signature rewards card. But it definitely asked for my QFF number when joining. It will be misleading advertising if they don't give the Qantas points.
They haven't deducted $49 for Qantas points either, for those approved, have they charged your card for $49 Qantas fee yet?

I just live chatted to them and here was they response:
"Yes. It's just the same card, . However, to enroll the account to Qantas frequent flyer programme, you would have to call our customer service for manual assistance. "

Edit: I called them and they're saying there is no such promotion!! I asked them to escalate this to their rewards team!

So frustrating!!!

Perhaps refer them to this page Citi Australia

(and take screenshots yourself)

Oh dear, looks like the Citibank curse strikes again

Have kept a screenshot of the application page and also note the Approval email contains the following information confirming zero fee and the fee for enrolling into Qantas rewards. Hopefully the fact that I included my QFF number in the application will be enough however feel that follow ups are going to be required

Credit Fees and Charges
Annual Primary Cardholder Fee
$0, debited to your Account on first use of the Account (including Card activation), and then $395 on each anniversary of the date Citibank approved your Account.

If you enrol in Citibank Qantas Rewards, $49 will be charged per account upon enrolment, and then on each anniversary of the date of enrolment.

Have they charged that $49 to your card yet?

This is looking all too hard to me. Knowing Mrs NoName’s dislike of having to deal with dramas resulting from me prompting her to sign up for bank products I might have to direct her elsewhere!

I can certainly relate. I'm still recovering from Mrs HockeyMonkey having to go into a physical branch for a Westpac Business card I signed her up for.
