Lounge revamp update

Has anyone heard any updates about the revamp of Sydney International Business and Auckland International Lounge?

Qantas have announced both.

The Sydney lounge was meant to be completed by the end of 2019. Know a few people who have passed through recently and it doesn't look like anything it happening from what they tell me.

Auckland was announced but a date for the revamp was never given.

I asked at the Auckland desk a few weeks ago. Answer was: "Not sure". Is it still happening? Answer: "I believe so". I haven't tried to look for any authoritative info.

I also asked at the end of March. Same answer! Probably the same staff.

Sydney International Business Lounge renovations were supposed to begin Q3 2018: Qantas promises all-new Sydney international business class lounge

It has not yet started and is, therefore, already running 6+ months late. Delays will only increase as construction work gets going.

It probably won't be complete until Q4 2020 / Q1 2021 at this rate.
